What's on your (photo) Friday menu?

Good mornin everyone. Sorry for being MIA so long. My mind has gotten in the way. I felt inferior and all that bull crap. Treatment resistant depression is no joke. Good thing I am to stubborn to give in to the BS.

Not just a whole lot happening with me. I am finally feeling more optimistic about losing weight. My weight ballooned once I started on insulin. I am so ashamed of it. I had a steroid injection last week that sent my numbers to the moon. That and I had a hard time finding a pharmacy that carried the new insulin I started. That was a whole other thing.... My excitement is not the kind I want.

I am starting a new eating plan tomorrow. Not going crazy today or anything but getting a bit stricte tomorrow. Cutting back on carbs little by little. So I'll be posting again. I just felt insecure about myself. I apologize.

QOTD: not a lot. My family is one of those that don't say I love you a lot. You show you love them if anything at all. I am breaking the cycle. I tell my nieces and nephew every time I see them. BUT in fifth grade I told a cross walk guard that I loved him. I was so embarrassed and I still cringe about it to this day.

B: eggs, cheese and bolthouse farms dressing...coffee x 3

L: boneless chicken wings, baked Cheetos

  • Good morning everybody!

I got a little too chatty in the whirlpool after swimming and ended up having to scramble to make it into work. I?m on my train albeit with a little chlorine smell about me. I showered before the pool, so it?s not like I?m filthy or anything.

The weather yesterday started rainy in the morning and later turned chilly and windy, but we still got about 150 kids. We handed out 4 boxes of full size candy (minus what we snacked on) and still had to break out the smaller sized bag. We have one unopened bag, which hopefully Costco will take back.

One thing that was different this year was that the littles mostly came after 6:00 as opposed to right after school. I wonder if that is because of Return To Office?

We have a black tie event for work Saturday night, but otherwise a gym-centric weekend. And trying out my bicycle.

Fall pictures - Pumpkins, Octoberfest, and 5-ish K.

QOTD: Yes, that and calling people the wrong names.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Turkey Sandwich

Dinner: Carnitas

Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Amy and Meneurs,

Sounds like you deserve a rest day. Enjoy! I had to stop at the DMV on the way to work and update my photo. Since this milestone birthday is coming up look like I have a lot of updating and appointments. Monday, I do a dexa scan, Tuesday seeing bariatric doctor for a follow up. And Thursday I have a dental appointment. They have not got back to me with the day I will be doing my colonoscopy. We had beautiful weather for Trick-or -Treat. One of Rudy's friends that lives about a 1/4 mile away came by just to see Rudy. She is 2 and pretty much has known him for the last year and a half. She finally got up enough nerve last week to start petting him. It was so nice they went out of their way to bring her by. They are such a cute family, and you can tell she is a daddy's girl. I noticed he often has his toes polished and you can tell it was at her hand. So adorbs. My weekend consists of gym in the morning, Mom duty, getting the meatballs ready for the dinner party I am throwing when Jim and Maryln are in town. Tomorrow evening Mom got Bowling, so I need to take her around 6. Sunday is the big fundraiser for the Local Library. This is the one with the biggest Cookie tables I have ever seen. I nailed the dry October. Not one drop of alcohol. Didn't do much for the scale so I will have a mimosa or 3 at the event.

QOTD: Not nearly enough. But I do say it to mom all the time just to see if she reciprocates. Sometimes yes sometime no.

Good morning! Happy November. What a nice evening we had. Hundreds of kids. 400-500. So many. So much fun. No candy passed my lips. Wish I could say the same about wine. Dinner was very carb forward, so I just ate small amounts. I was very busy handing out candy. Thank goodness all the fam and the neighbors are so comfortable in our house. There were little parties everywhere inside and out and everyone just took care of everything.

Accountability -- wine. zero intentional exercise. 466 move calories, 32 minutes of exercise (this would be running around all day and all evening) and 10,153 steps.

We ended up with the grands plus one spending the night and we've promised IHOP for breakfast. Then a day full of changing out decorations and packing for Vegas.

QoTD: oh yeah. Usually to customers I've known a long time. Awkward.

Bites today

B: eggs and bacon

L: leftovers

D: porkchop and TJ's Holiday veggie hash

Yogurt w/mix ins and beef jerky/rotisserie chicken.

Peace!

Good morning all and Welcome to the 3rd best day of the week,

Halloween season this year was so much fun. I was totally in the present and really embraced the spirit. Last night, I went to the Sanctum Dark Music Festival. It was interesting. It was goth industrial with electronica. The people watching was superb. It was all sorts of freaky deeky and the people watching was unbelievable. Young people were wearing things that you would imagine at a s&m gathering of the bodies. Lots of drug use and open love in a couple side rooms. Condoms and Narcan on a table like they were trick or treat bowls with 'take one.' my friend and I lasted 90 minutes until I had to go.

I have a day today and Sunday. Tomorrow, I may actually have some time for me.

QOTD- My I Love You's get me into trouble. I have a couple friends in that we say I love you every time we say it kiss/hug goodbye. These are very good friends. I've been dating in the past where the paramour is hurt that I say it so freely to these select people.

B: 1/2 bagel and lox, yogurt

D: Happy hour before a concert. I'm hoping for oysters.

Pics - #1 one of my best photo bombs ever. #2 A Church in Pilsen with an appropriate hoopty. #3 Ultimate Sunn Weird ass band. #4 Last Weekend's Halloween show. Each band dressed up and played as Joan Jett, the Kinks, Tribe Called Quest, Bruce Springsteen and weezer. #5 Chicago Symphony Orchestra Don Quixote, #6 How I imagine Grim's Halloween bucket but with prosciutto(ham adjacent).

I love the Italian Capocollo bucket. They had Perogie buckets here in Pittsburgh.

Hey gang. JB is working from home and taking a noontime nap. She got home sick as a dog yesterday. She had a fever of 101, though its normal now. Her dad is still in the hospital, and still in a hallway. She obviously cant see him today. She's talked to him on the phone, and I guess he's doing better, but still doesn't sound great. I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorely disappointed in all of you. No chocolate on Halloween? With JB sick, we just turned out the lights. I am NOT giving my candy away if I can help it. So I have had 437 fun-sized candy bars so far. I don't mind carrying the load for the rest of you, but someone needs to help.

QOTD: No, I'm not much of a blurter, in any regard. But I do love all of you.
