Good morning! Happy November. What a nice evening we had. Hundreds of kids. 400-500. So many. So much fun. No candy passed my lips. Wish I could say the same about wine. Dinner was very carb forward, so I just ate small amounts. I was very busy handing out candy. Thank goodness all the fam and the neighbors are so comfortable in our house. There were little parties everywhere inside and out and everyone just took care of everything.

Accountability -- wine. zero intentional exercise. 466 move calories, 32 minutes of exercise (this would be running around all day and all evening) and 10,153 steps.

We ended up with the grands plus one spending the night and we've promised IHOP for breakfast. Then a day full of changing out decorations and packing for Vegas.

QoTD: oh yeah. Usually to customers I've known a long time. Awkward.

Bites today

B: eggs and bacon

L: leftovers

D: porkchop and TJ's Holiday veggie hash

Yogurt w/mix ins and beef jerky/rotisserie chicken.

Peace!

Good morning all and Welcome to the 3rd best day of the week,

Halloween season this year was so much fun. I was totally in the present and really embraced the spirit. Last night, I went to the Sanctum Dark Music Festival. It was interesting. It was goth industrial with electronica. The people watching was superb. It was all sorts of freaky deeky and the people watching was unbelievable. Young people were wearing things that you would imagine at a s&m gathering of the bodies. Lots of drug use and open love in a couple side rooms. Condoms and Narcan on a table like they were trick or treat bowls with 'take one.' my friend and I lasted 90 minutes until I had to go.

I have a day today and Sunday. Tomorrow, I may actually have some time for me.

QOTD- My I Love You's get me into trouble. I have a couple friends in that we say I love you every time we say it kiss/hug goodbye. These are very good friends. I've been dating in the past where the paramour is hurt that I say it so freely to these select people.

I love the Italian Capocollo bucket. They had Perogie buckets here in Pittsburgh.

Hey gang. JB is working from home and taking a noontime nap. She got home sick as a dog yesterday. She had a fever of 101, though its normal now. Her dad is still in the hospital, and still in a hallway. She obviously cant see him today. She's talked to him on the phone, and I guess he's doing better, but still doesn't sound great. I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorely disappointed in all of you. No chocolate on Halloween? With JB sick, we just turned out the lights. I am NOT giving my candy away if I can help it. So I have had 437 fun-sized candy bars so far. I don't mind carrying the load for the rest of you, but someone needs to help.

QOTD: No, I'm not much of a blurter, in any regard. But I do love all of you.

I really wish I could share your chocolate, but I seriously feel sick to my stomach. I'm there in spirits.
Healthy wishes for JB and her dad.

The primary reason for the Tunisia Trip is because our uncle is buried there. He was the oldest of a large Irish-Catholic family, and my father was the youngest. My dad was just a kid when his brother, John Henry Cashman, was killed. He was a tank commander, and died when his tank was destroyed, along with two of his crew. From what we have been able to find out, he is buried in the Bejar War Cemetery, and is likely in the same grave as one of his comrades. Those buried in this small graveyard (about 450 soldiers) are mostly from British Commonwealth countries.

I was very happy to see how well the cemetery has been maintained. i can't imagine it gets many visitors. Here are some pictures of the cemetery, and his grave.

Just curious as to what battalion your uncle was in?

my grandpa served around the same area as a sergeant in the 757tnk battalion. I can't imagine what those men went through. My grandpa really really disliked serving in N.Africa because of the sand messing with the tanks.

thank you to your family for his service and ultimate sacrifice.
