Good Morning Amy and Menuers,

I didn't get back to read the thread yesterday because I had my PCP appointment. It went well. I do have to do a bone density and colonoscopy but nothing I didn't already know. I see Grimm is back and the solar is on. The biggest thrill is the 2 electric bill. I went from $280 to $8. It was exciting. It took me a bit to build solar up because they turned in on in December. Congratulations to Lisa for her new vet status. You're killing it.

QOTD: Very rarely do I track. I use the scale as my tracker. I know if I am up from the day before I need to cut back. I never was a big tracker, but I agree when you tracking it is the best accountability going.

Accountability: I was busy and didn't snack.

TSS: 6 years 10-months 22-days 167.8 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee-mate pumpkin spice creamer

MS: 1 oz sharp cheddar, Oikos triple zero salted caramel Greek yogurt, berries

CB: Coffee with SF Coffee-mate pumpkin spice creamer

L: crock pot pizza

D: crack chicken quesadilla

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest blessings

QOTD- I used to track religiously but it takes me to a bad place so I don't do it anymore or infrequently.

I'm not a baseball fan but did those fans really think ripping the ball out of that guys glove was going to make a difference?

It's windy and cold out an the leaves are flying off the trees. It's supposed to rain tonight and Halloween I was planning on just putting a bowl of candies out but I'm not sure how to keep them dry. Maybe I'll just give up and turn off the lights and donate the candy, I really, really don't need it.

It was a beautiful sunrise this morning. Have a great day everyone!

Julia, I just love engaging with the littles. It's good for my soul and puts a smile on my face. Why not hand out candy for the first hour or two when the littles are out and then go lights out?

G'morning all!

Is anybody else counting down to Halloween like I am? A: getting rid of all the candies sitting around the house. B: seeing all the kids in their costumes. We live in a very busy neighborhood for Halloween and I love the constant door bell ring. The houses compete in decorations and you hear kids' comments on which house is scarier and which house has better candies. When our kids were around and we carved pumpkins DH's pumpkins always got a lot of compliments, he made them very complicated and artistic. Nowadays we just put out gory looking pumpkins.

QOTD: I used to use MFP religiously and kept track of cals and protein that way. But it got to the point that I wasn't losing anything, or bouncing the same couple of lbs up and down, and it was just aggravating me. So I stopped tracking. I am still aiming for protein forward meals and I still eye ball my portions but I am more relaxed about my daily intake. I weigh myself once every 10 days or so to make sure it's not creeping up, and as long as it's not going up I go back to what I was doing. If it's creeping up I cut off the snack. I started this early Aug and so far so good.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Chicken meatballs + chicken skewer
  • L&F yogurt - pumpkin
  • Protein icecream - snickerdoodle
  • E: 6 miles wog

Happy hump day!

Getting rid of the candy, yes! Though I didn't buy any of my favorites this time. No almond joys to obsess about! I would love to get to that point where I don't have to track. Using the scale or my clothes as a guide sounds doable in maintenance. No way I could do that now since I don't trust myself and I've got 20+/- to go.

Good morning! Thanks for all the congrats yesterday. I felt like Super Woman all day long. I had a great day and am ready for another one today.

Conclave was excellent. Just excellent. Dinner out was a bit of a bust. Had to send my food back and I ate 30 minutes after Roger. Lots of leftovers. I've promised him steak and eggs for breakfast. Under accountability, 1 See's candy. 554 move calories burned, 107 minutes of hard exercise, 10,330 steps and 1 perfect 20 minute nap. I was way under calories at the end of the day even over estimating how many french fries I nibbled on.

Today is my oldest Grand's birthday. We have a teenager. 13. Unreal. I've done lots of cleaning and scrubbing already today and my workout gear is washed and hanging to dry. I need a trip to the market and I've got paperwork to do. I don't know why I can't settle down and get this paper work done. I need someone to give me a stern talking to. We are leaving for 2 back to back trips on Saturday, I am trying to use up all the leftovers or freeze them into single serving sizes. More work to do on that today too.

QoTD: I'm back to tracking on MFP. 31 out of 32 days so I'm getting in the habit. I use it mostly to track protein grams, but it also works as a rude wakeup call when I am thinking I'm getting away with something. Also, I am addicted to the move app on my Apple Watch. I will do almost anything to close those damn rings. It's such a sense of satisfaction when I do.

bites today

B: steak and egg

L: more leftovers. Shakshuka?

D: tbd. Need to go buy a few proteins.

Greek yogurt w/mix ins, and jerky/rotisserie chicken if needed.

Peace.
