Hey everyone. Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. I've been trying to get things done before my trip.

JB mentioned yesterday that we're going to Tunisia, in large part because of my uncle, who I was named after. He was killed in WW2, 17 years before I was born. Big Irish family, he was the oldest, my dad the youngest. When my brother retired from the navy a couple of years ago, this was on his list. So he and I and my daughter are going.

No time for Tattoine. My daughter is especially bummed. But it's way in the south, and there's nothing else there to see. We'll be mostly up north, near Tunis, Bizerte, and the Mediterranean. He's got a tour guide for just the three of us, and a pretty meticulous itinerary. That's my brother. I'm more of a "Let's go over. We'll find a place to stay when we get there."

QOTD: What works best for me doesn't appear to be the way anyone else does it. I need to keep track. Meticulously. Keep track of every bite, which has to include weighing it. If I don't, portions creep up, and then it's the slippery slope. It makes keeping track much easier because of how I eat. A meal involves weighing and recording one thing, rather than the multiple things most people eat. I have two "meals" in the MyFitnesspal shortcuts. One is for a cheeseburger, the other for pizza. So instead of entering three things, I enter one. That's my recipes!

Activity is great. Vital for health. But as DCGirl said, weight loss is in the kitchen, not the gym.

I need to keep track too, it's essential. I weigh absolutely everything. I don't trust measuring spoons or cups because they lie.
