I picture you as a great enforcer. If I was held hostage, I wouldn't want you as a hostage negotiator though. "Go ahead, kill him. We're not giving in to your demands."

LOL. I do have empathy.
But the trainer was saying if somebody comes at you angry and blames you for the whole system just picture them that they are hurt or fearful. At that point I said OK, I'm not their mom nor their therapist. They are there to do their civic duty (vote). So I would tell them to put their big boy pants on, vote and take their complaints to somebody who can actually do something about it, not me a little peon poll worker. The poor guy looked at the head of election office with imploring eyes like how did I end up with this monster of a woman?
Obviously I can never tell somebody off like that, but it was very satisfying to at least show them my true feelings while role playing.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Yesterday was my Monday and today is my Friday. How lucky was that. I had a nice time off. We went to see Tesla last Friday at the casino (free) we heard the band playing and stopped at the box office to see who was playing and they said here if you want to go. We stayed for a couple songs. I went to the pop-up Beetlejuice bar. It was kind of cheesy. Hit a Mediterranean food Festival Saturday after I put up all the fall decorations and changed my shoes from summer to winter. Went to a festival and took Rudy with us Sunday. Rudy is such a good boy and loved all the pets he got. Monday, I went to the yuck doctor, Tuesday I ran around picking up prescriptions for Mom (Another UTI) Grrr, we also got to the Museum of illusion but did not give ourselves nearly enough time. We stayed for 2 hours but could have stayed a lot longer. Wednesday took mom to the doctor and did a spin class. So, I kept busy, and I did enjoy the time off. I can't remember the last time I took time off without travel. I don't think It will happen again any time soon. There is way too many things I want to see and if all else fails I always have Costa Rica.

QOTD: There is an apple festival and an Octoberfest. Pittsburgh has never had an Octoberfest, so this is the inaugural. They have a Ferris wheel on the Clemente Bridge I want to ride it. Also doing gym in the morning and mom duty.

We tried to watch the new Beetlejuice movie, but lasted about 15 minutes. We both thought it was horrible.

Mornin' All!

well I'm up four lbs this morning (since last week). I know I've had a couple of heavy eating days, but really? Must be some excess water (and/or intestinal "contents") factoring in to that gain as well. In any case, it'll be light eating for me this weekend. Fortunately, we have no plans!

I was hoping to bike today, but I have two packages arriving. Hopefully they'll arrive early enough that I can get out this afternoon. I need the exercise.

QOTD: answered above (i.e., no plans - which I'm glad of because I have to catch up on a few things)

coffee with half & half

plain skyr with homemade (SF) apple butter

Loma Linda taco filling topped with tomatoes, plain yogurt, and salsa

protein shake

dinner TBA - maybe a Jimmy Dean's light egg muffin-like thingie (with turkey sausage and egg whites)

have a great day, everyone!

QOTD- Nothing here, watching the Ducks tonight and I will maybe feel well enough to go outside.

The leaves are turning here, the first ones were the yellow trees, there is a strip on one of the roads I drive and they are all bright yellow right now. No idea what kind of trees they are.

I'm going to attempt to hang my clothes outside to dry the forecast says high of 73 so that should be enough to dry them. A couple of years ago I bought a retractable clothes line. But have I dug the hole and put gravel and concrete in for the post? The answer is a huge no, so I can only dry one load of my clothes or a set of sheets and a duvet cover on my portable clothes line. I will probably have to rent an auger since the ground is so hard. Since it's almost the end of outdoor clothes drying so I'll probably delay a while longer.

Raining today but it supposed to clear for tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone!
