Good Morning, gang. I've been feeling incredibly yucky for a few days so I decided to take a sick day today. With any luck I will get in some naps and resemble that little frog soon.

QOTD: Any suggestions for a good binge watch? Can be old or new! I have been thinking about rewatching Six Feet Under for ages but it seems a little intense for how I am feeling today.

Thinking about food turns my stomach, so no menu. But I promise to drink a lot.

Good mornin everyone. QJB, hope you get the rest you need and feel better ASAP.

today I have a dentist appointment and Tange gets her vaccinations finished. I think the Feliway is already helping. At least with Percy and Tange. Opal is still being a little ass. She is locked up in their room. Percy is being civil and Tange isn't reacting wildly to them being within 6 feet of each other. :::knocks on wood:::

I'm feeling extremely tired. We might run by a certain drug store as they carry the skinny syrups at a really great price. I need a salted caramel. They are often picked over so we'll see if i'm able to catch 'em after a restock! If not I may just order off of Amazon.

QOTD: I have nothing. I haven'****ched anything other than create and PBS in a long while. I'm so boring.

Food is what ever my digestive tract will allow. It's already upset this morning wo we'll see. Eggs for breakfast.

Mornin' All!

glad to hear you're taking a sick day, QJB - hope you start feeling better!!

I was at a debate party last night. I brought Tim Walz's "award winning" hot dish (the recipe of which I got for donating to their campaign - thought it sounded like a great campaign gimmick and made for a fun "potluck" item!). Pure fat in that thing, so I didn't eat much of it - but someone else brought this wonderful almond cake with raspberries and ice cream (it was so great I had two pieces - yikes!) plus lots of wine. So I"m feeling a bit like the Goodyear blimp this morning. I need to have a light couple of days to balance this out. So I'll be watching it today!

I have to take my mother to a retinal specialist this morning. Her regular ophthalmologist said her cataracts are to the point where they can remove them, but she has some inflammation in one of her retinas that she wants this specialist to take a look at first. My mother is convinced she's going blind, of course (she always thinks the worst of everything). Hope this appt goes OK. She also has an appt in early November to get a Botox injection in her bladder, but I don't think she's going to go through with it. She's been freaking out about it for the last couple of weeks. I've had to message her urologist's office a couple of times to ask questions my mother had, and they're always reassuring, but then a couple of days later, it's something else. At least it's still a month away - but at this point I'd be surprised if she goes through with it. She spends WAY too much time reading Dr. Google.

QOTD: I've got nothing. Most of my watching is political-oriented stuff on YouTube.

OK - food - I'll take a stab:

coffee with half & half

skyr with fruit

protein bar (in case this appt and the aftermath goes longer than I'm expecting)

Jimmy Dean's D'lights Egg McMuffin thing (?) - (with egg whites and turkey sausage)

protein ice cream or protein muffin

Loma Linda taco filling with tomatoes, plain Greek yogurt, and salsa

Have a great day, everyone!

Not that she is likely to listen, but I think cataract surgery is a wonderful experience. I had it a few years ago and my vision went back to 20-20. I do need glasses for reading, but needed them for distance since I was 10 years old. The lenses had yellowed over time. With the new lenses everything is so much brighter and clearer. I was afraid of the surgery and kept putting it off, but it was so quick and easy. I had to wear a shield over the eye for a day and use drops three times a day.

Good morning! Sorry you are sick. The pits. I hope today is a wonderful day of recuperation!
I have read some really positive reviews of Nobody Wants This on Netflix. I may give it a whirl this weekend. I have RSVPed no to a few social obligations because I just feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends. The move date is coming soon! I am so, so excited!

Today I am meeting some colleagues downtown DC at a WeWork and we are running an enablement session on zoom together. After work we are going to one of the gal's apartment for a work sponsored fun activity - making tacos! All the food was delivered right to my door. I'm a fan of team building through I know others do NOT want to zoom with their colleagues at 6:30 pm. But we are treating it as a social experience!

My ears today - 1/4 of a potbelly leftover sandwich, if I'm lucky then poke for lunch, and a small chicken and corn taco for dinner. It's foong to be a great day! I have been up for hours and accomplished a lot but now I'm laying back in the bed with the cat and it's glorious! Have a wonderful day!

I know the current belief is that work contacts should end at 5:00 but I always loved get togethers with my work buddies. Hope it is great fun.

Good morning ~ Sometimes a sick day is exactly what is needed. I had a very productive day yesterday. I have never completed a report so quickly. I have been working on fixing this particular workbook for months now and finally this month, the stars aligned. What used to take me over a week to do, took less than a day. This is the goal for all the reports and projects, to simplify. I don't understand how they became so complicated in the first place. Little by little, I'll get there. Today is more getting ahead and a weekly meeting with my boss this afternoon.

QOTD - I haven'****ched much lately except The Perfect Couple and the We are the World documentary called The Greatest Night in Pop 2024. That was a fun trip down memory lane, but I can't get that damn song out of my head. The best part about the whole documentary was Bob Dylan towards the end.

Accountability - perfect, 59 exercise minutes, 10,299 steps. Today I am 167.8 and I have 30 min done on the treadmill.

B- coffee, yogurt w/protein granola and strawberries

l - pork chop tacos, seriously the last of it...

d- ham and cheese omelette

s- cutie, vanilla protein shake w/coke zero taste test!

Have a great day!
