Good morning ~ What's happening weekenders? I'm feeling so much better and had a great day off yesterday. My son ended up having to work, so I was on my own and it was lovely. I watched the Perfect Couple and though it was good but not what I was expecting because it turns out I hadn't read the book. Still, I was expecting the authors regular cast of characters in it and there were none but would still recommend. JB was right about the Nantucket *****mg gorgeous! Today we are decorating for Halloween. I have things I need to do around here and a Target run. Otherwise, I may hole up and watch YouTube videos.
QOTD - Do you have tattoos? What are they? If not - Do you want one? what would you get? I love tattoos on other people and was considered a never-ever for myself, but I am always thinking of what I would get and where I would put it. I'm thinking a 4 leaf clover or a shamrock either on my wrist or ankle. I used to want to hid it, but now i want to see it. Small and brightly colored. I really want to do it now.
Accountability - great on food, and it was a rest day. Today I am 166.0 and no plans for exercise even though I'm feeling better and have nothing but time... Okay, I will do something today.
b- coffee, eggs and toast
l - leftover sushi
d-grilled pork chops and mexican corn the cob
s - watermelon, quest chips, edamame
Have a great day!

lol, no, I've never considered a penguin. It would be fun thought.
I have a comedy mask in flames as a reminder that in chaos I only control my attitude;
a bouquet with eucalyptus, thistle and lavender for my maternal family heritage,
and the word wander with three stars - my grandmother gave me her wandering soul and my grandfather started my love of books with Peter Pan so one day I will head for the second star to the right wander my way to Neverland.
my sister and I plan on getting sister hummingbird tattoos when we have the time and are in the same place

Mornin' Weekenders!
my cookbook club meets today. We're making things from Ellie Krieger's books. I'm making "nutty oat bars". I was going to double the recipe so DH and I would have some of them at home, but they're 250 kcal each, so no (lots of nuts and seeds in addition to those oats - healthy, but pretty high in calories). Otherwise, not much going on, but I'm going to try to finish my book for my book discussion group that meets on Monday morning, and maybe get a bike ride in if the weather cooperates.
QOTD: no - never had any desire to.
coffee with half & half
plain skyr with fruit
protein shake or protein muffin
just checked the cookbook club roster and what people are planning on bringing (small group today! Might be a good thing - less chance to overeat) - curried chicken salad, apple muffins, picnic pasta salad, chickpea & farro salad, watermelon with herbed goat cheese whip, and one "I don't know yet". I'll try a little of everything. And I mean "a little". The last one I attended I ended up in the bathroom throwing up. At least I know my surgery still works!!
if I have dinner at all (given the big, late lunch), it'll be either Greek yogurt or part of a sushi roll
have a great Saturday!!

I used to watch Ellie's cooking show, she is a dietician/NUT!

the dishes were pretty good, but the curried chicken salad needed more curry powder and salt - and the nutty oat bars I made could have used more sweetening. So if I make either again, I'll do that - but I wasn't surprised by any of that (well, at least the salt and sweetener part) since she's a dietitian!
the farro/chickpea stew was excellent! apple muffins were pretty good, too.
