I am assuming that Herb works for the gas company. When my cousin moved to Ireland, about 40 years ago, it took almost a year for the electric company to hook up her power. I thought we were so much luckier in the US, but never had an experience like you are having now. The hotel I plan to stay at in a power emergency is called "The Grand Resort" and has beautiful rooms and gourgeous grounds and pools. It is a bit over $100 a night. It is just up the road from my house and the parking lot is always full with mostly BMW's and other expensive cars. Hope Herb shows up today.
