Welcome to the weekend, gang! I have every intention of looking that ^^that guy^^ for a decent amount of time over the next few days. This week is definitely kicking my butt. Tomorrow I'm also getting a keratin treatment for my hair which I am very excited about! I had told myself I would try to embrace my naturally curly-do and stop spending money on keratin, but I'm so over it. Goodbye frizzies!

My 6 month review went really well!!!! My boss is a dream and she made me feel really good about what I have accomplished so far. I continue to be so happy with my decision to go back to school last year and give my life a complete re-do. It was a little scary at the time but I am so happy about where it ultimately led me :)

QOTD: Did you have a favorite lunchbox as a kid? I listened to a great podcast the other day about a 70s and 80s lunchbox artist and it was such a great story and brought me back to childhood in an instant. My favorite was a tin one with Holly Hobby!

Accountability: I really just completely lost my appetite this week. It's taken me from Monday - Friday to eat the small flatbread I got on Monday. Each piece was smaller than my hand, and it had 8 pieces. I am still not done with it and that's almost exclusively what I have eaten this week. I also got a ton of steps yesterday - many of them running, as I sprinted to the train last night (made it!)

  • protein coffee
  • chicken sausage
  • flat bread
  • honey mustard chicken salad

G'morning all!

JB - congrats on your positive 6 months review. I never got a good result with Keratine treatment, my hair needed the harsh Japanese conditioning to relax. Enjoy the hair appt and share pics with your straight hair.

Day 7- last but not least Rainbow Mountain. This beauty was not even visible 11 years ago, under the glacier. Don't let anybody tell you climate change is not real because until 11 years ago this mountain was covered by glaciers and snow. We were dropped off at 15,000 elevation and had to hike "only" 3 miles and 2,000 feet elevation change. Poor DH had a hard time; according to him not so much physically but his head was swimming and he couldn't focus. It was worth the hike and discomfort to see the colors. And I took pics both with Llamas and Alpacas. Total tourist trap but had to do it.

QOTD: I honestly can't remember. I'm sure it was some sort of Disney character.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • TikTok cucumber salad w/Tuna
  • L&F yogurt (apple caramel)
  • Protein icecream - coffee
  • E: 6 miles wog

Happy Fri-yay!

amazing pictures! Good for DH for soldiering through, altitude impacts are no joke! And sadly, climate change too. We talked about tourist traps when we were on vacation -- yes, everyone makes fun of them, but sometimes it's fun to remember that you're a tourist and do the tourist thing! You clearly did so much more than just that so enjoy the touristy pictures.

All of the pics you have posted have been unbelievable but the rainbow mountain is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen! Absolutely stunning. I am surprised I have not seen pictures of it before and didn't know it existed.

So happy that you got the trip of a lifetime :)

I walked home every day for lunch but some kids did have lunchboxes. In seventh grade I had to bring my lunch but whoever made the social rules at our school declared lunch boxes not cool and everyone carried lunch in a brown paper bag.

I think that social-rule-making kid went to my school, too!

Good mornin everyone! QJB, so glad your review went great!

Rachel is staying the night tonight. We might go to the thrift store but I'm not sure. I started a new med last night for sleep and it did work! I got a solid 3 hour, and 2 smaller blocks of sleep. That's a lot for me! Next week is a busy one full of appointments. The dreaded eye specialist (he isn't bad at all, it's the waiting for 2 to 3 hours) is on Tuesday. Wednesday is the dentist.

We are having trouble with our cat Percy and Tange. He isn't getting better and she is just terrified of him. He has scratched her a few times. Not sure what to do at this point. I am thinking about trying the plug in calming thing they have at chewy. I'm going to probably buy it when I get paid.

QOTD: Not that I can remember.

B: eggs, cheese and coffee

L: taco salad

D: ????

Mornin' All!

I'm up starting some sourdough bread this morning (I rarely eat it, other than the Danish rye kind - but DH goes through a loaf in about three days, it seems. If I don't make it, he's coming home with a loaf). I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 9:00, and then it's off to campus again this afternoon to see Liz Cheney. Between times, I have GOT to do some reading for my classes. And maybe bike for an hour or two if the weather cooperates.

QOTD: I went to three elementary schools, two of which I walked home for lunch (my first elementary school didn't even have a cafeteria, so we all walked home). I did bring my lunch at the school I went to for grades 3-5, though. One of those years I had a Doctor Doolittle lunch box, because the movie came out the summer before (in 1968). I do remember I had a lunch box one of those years that I was super excited about, but I can't remember if it was that one or not - and I don't have any memory at all of the lunchboxes I had the other two years (weird that I had a new one every year! But I think most kids did).

coffee with half & half

skyr with fruit

latte with 2% milk and SF syrup

Taco fixins without the tortilla

protein shake

I'll probably bring a protein bar to campus later on since I'm going to get there super early to get a good seat, so I probably won't have time for dinner

have a good day, everyone!

Hey Grim -

I just checked my email and this message was in there - here you go:

"Good Morning,

I noticed the payment was for the incorrect state when I processed our online payments. Notification was sent to our Finance Department for a refund on either Tuesday or Wednesday so he should be getting a refund either by card or check in the mail. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!"

Good morning ~ So happy it's Friday! It was a productive week, but rough and I'm thrilled it's almost over. I'm working half day today, meeting DS for lunch and errands, then grocery shop and home. We've had living furniture delivered throughout the week, the last box will be delivered today. Our weekend plans are assembling, moving and cleaning. We unpacked the ottoman last night and I'm in love - we all are especially Chloe. Lots to do this weekend including arranging the garage to store our current set for DS when he moves to a bigger place soon. I need to get my workout room in order, my donation pile has taken over and I need them out of there. Tons to do so no lazy bones for me this weekend. I had that last weekend and will have it again next weekend, lol.

QOTD - I had a tin Holly Hobbie lunch box too! It's the only one I can remember having. I was in 1st or 2nd grade and I absolutely loved it.

Accountability - great, 42 active minutes, 9,070 steps and crashed hard in the recliner. I need to be checking my step count sooner than bedtime. Today I am 167.2 - definitely dehydrated yesterday and feeling better today. 30 minutes done of the treadmill.

B- coffee, yogurt

l - jersey mike's sub in a tub

d - TBD

s - apple, string cheese, jerky

Have a great day!
