Good morning, everyone!
I liked the Cubs rooftop on Friday. It was behind right field. They have security, just like the regular seats, and it's five stories: floor three is an indoor bar and food, floor four is an outdoor bar, and floor five is the actual seats.
From 700 feet, I'm not going to be calling balls and strikes, and anything hit deep has to be watched on the scoreboard, but it's overall a pretty good view. The seats were actually more comfortable than inside the stadium and didn't feel steep (certainly less so than those crumbling 500 level seats inside).
My mouth was numb because I put too much giardinera on my Italian Beef. Other than the numbness, the only downside was that my "free" outing cost $160 in taxis and UBERS.
The rest of the weekend was great - family food and football. We went shopping for our trip but really only got things at Walgreens and Barnes & Noble.
QOTD: I'm fine as I am.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: tacos
Dinner: brisket
Have a great day, all!

Good morning
posting from the treadmill. Good brain challenge. I opted out of HIIT because of the heat. It's 81 already, but I made it to the gym. Lots of errands to do today and Rog is out golfing and softball so I've got the whole day to myself.
Accountability for yesterday was very good on the intake side, dismal on the out put. We are supposed to drop thirty degrees from today's high to Wednesday's high. Can't wait.
QOTD: If I a dollar for every time someone asked if my married name was the same as a famous beer, I'd have a pile of dollars. But other than that I'm good.
bites today:
b.protein toast peanut butter
l: leftover turkey thighs and gnocchi
d: chicken shawarma and baba ganoush
Peace!

Treadmill and typing is a huge brain challenge! The kind of challenge we need occasionally!

When my son was in kindergarten many of the boys in his class were named after grandparents and put II or III after their names. Kevin was not named after anyone so he started putting I after his name. His name is Kevin Patrick. One day he told me he was happy with the first name but did not really like his middle name. I replied that I wished he had said something at the time, and he never brought it up again.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
QOTD- I toyed with using my middle name Anne but that's about as far as it goes.
I figured out what was going on with my Mom she was having withdrawal symptoms from Cymbalta. The PA made a mistake and only gave her a refill of 3 pills and she ran out and the symptoms scared her enough that she went to the ER. She slept well and was back to herself on Sunday. Whew! She was saying horrible things about my roommate and was just generally being nasty. Glad that is all it was.
I finally made it to Deadpool & Wolverine. It was funny and irreverent I would expect no less from it. Hugh Jackman was totally jacked, he is an amazing specimen.
First week of the NFL the Seahawks won but it sure wasn't pretty, and neither was the Ducks win. But at least they won. Of course there was an outage of Tablo so I had to stream the game on Sunday, but it was recorded by the DVR. So far I like it, but didn't appreciate the outage on the opening game of the NFL season.
I have work so I'd better get back to it.
Have a great day everyone!
