^^I'm back from an amazing 2.5 day vaca and would give my left eye for another week right now!^^
Morning all! I just sent Grim off to his surgery. I spent the last half of the weekend a little under the weather and I have developed a slight fever and cough, so his daughter offered to take him to his procedure so that I don't infect anyone in the waiting room. I'm sad to not be there, but I know he's in good hands.
Send him alllllll your best juju. He's the best guy in the world :)
He took me away for an amazing birthday weekend. We stayed in a fantastic hotel right in the heart of the area. We ate yummy food, shopped, saw the sights, went on a fun lobster boat ride, and napped during every conceivable down moment. It's amazing how refreshing 3 days away can be.
QOTD: How are you with food prep these days? In the first 4 - 5 years post-op I spend every Sunday cooking and prepping a million tiny Tupperwares with food for every meals for the week. I gave up on the that about mid-way through my terrible year as a principal and I never went back. I was thinking how smart it would be to start prioritizing that again.
I'm not very hungry this morning. We'll see.
- protein coffee
- Siggi's berry yogurt
- leftover lobster
- garlic chicken

Good morning - Looks like you guys had a great weekend! I hope Grims procedure goes well and he is recovers quickly. I had a very nice weekend. The only thing missing was a nap. Pre-season football is meh-okay, but is really the dangling carrot of the season to come and that is exciting! Busy week - lots to do, plans to change, meetings and deadlines. Work work work, fun fun fun.
QOTD - I used to cook prep, now just plan/put together my meals for work using frozen RGF entrees, deli ham/cheese keto bread sandwiches, salad kits w/ precooked meat like chicken bites from costco or rotisserie chicken and leftovers sometimes. I've found shortcuts and easy things I really like that make it less daunting over the years. Easy and good.
Accountability - I snacked on things I had no business eating, 34 active minutes, 10,113 steps. Today I am 168.8, 35 minutes on the treadmill done, will rebound tonight while watching the news.
B - coffee, protein shake, cottage cheese and tomato
l - chicken bites and cucumber salad
d - leftover beef stew and low carb tortilla
s- apple + PB
Have a great day!

Good mornin everyone! QJB, hope you feel better and sending Grim all the best wishes. Please let us know how it goes!
Nothing much planned for the day. The only thing I have to do is run by a post office. Other than that nothing we have to do. I had a difficult night and honestly wouldn't know a good one if it bit me in the ass. lol. It was a difficult weekend. My niece Rachel is having a hard time at home. She is the odd man out. I'll never understand parents who show favoritism so blatantly! I am deeply disappointed with my brother. The biggest issue is laziness but there is other stuff involved of course. Such heavy things and we will have to have a talk with my brother and maybe SIL. I'll just say this...the counseling for hoarding did jack crap.
QOTD: not much in way of this and I need to get back to it as well.
B: eggs, coffee and maybe a ton of ice
L: chicken
D: fish of some sort.
meme for Grim!

Good Morning! I'm glad you had a great weekend and I'm sending all the good vibes to Grim today and I hope you feel better soon. We had a low key weekend and John smoked another yummy Tri tip so I'm set for the week. Yesterday was my 10 year surgiversary so am I officially a vet now? I spent some time thinking about the last 10 years and just how different things are. I am not exactly where I want to be and have let some bad habits back in (looking at you high carb low protein snacks like handfuls of cereal and chips) but I'm not where I was and am proud of that. I'll keep fighting that's for sure.
QOTD: As my menu shows I pretty much eat the same thing every weekday for breakfast and lunch. For dinner we usually make a protein on the grill/smoker that gets us through at least the first 1/2 of the week.
TSS: 10 years
B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, light and fit yogurt and some fruit
S: Mixed nuts, a piece of fruit and yogurt
D: Tri tip salad with avocado, a banana, and dark chocolate
ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast
E: 1/2 hour elliptical and 20 mins Pilates bar
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1311 Protein:103 Carbs:129 Fat:50
Have a great day!
Happy 10 years! You have done fantastic!

Happy surgiversary.
I think you are a double vet now, because if I remember correctly you become a vet after 5 years.
