Good morning, everybody!

It was great to see Lana post yesterday.

I finally got the wetsuit on and swam with it yesterday. I think it is easier to swim with. More buoyant, faster and I take fewer rest periods. Some water comes in, which I think is supposed to happen.

I still can?t zip the back by myself. The reason that I make such a big deal about that is because I am nervous about having to wait long periods in it, outside of the water, and overheating. But it seems OK and the race is in the morning.

The plan last night was just to finish the 3/4 of a bottle of wine wine we had laying around the house, but apparently a gremlin came in during the night and consumed all but one ounce of it. At least it wasn?t replaced by water.

Today, I?m in the office and all dressed up for meetings. Hopefully getting home in time for adult lap swim. Other than that, one day closer to the weekend.

QOTD: I?m not sure. It was Spring 87 and we started dating Fall 86, so I?m sure that I spent it with Marilyn.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Steak

Have a great day, all!

I've seen surfers with their wetsuits at the beach. They have a long strap attached to the back zipper so they can reach to pull the zipper up/down on their own. Maybe that would help?

QOTD: On my 21st birthday, we went to the church where I was baptized to get paperwork I needed to get married at my current church. We got that paperwork and also went to city hall and got a marriage license. Back in 1969, you could not drink or get married in Ohio unless you were 21. I wanted to sign my own papers, not have my parents sign for me.

That evening we went to dinner at a local restaurant called the Brown Derby. We knew the waitresses and they introduced me a drink that was popular then called a Pink Squirrel. They were pink and loaded with ice cream. They tasted like a Dairy Queen chocolate milkshake. I drink those until I was a bit sick, but still managed to eat a steak dinner.

The fee for a marriage license back then was $2.50. You needed to have seen a doctor and have a paper saying you did not have any sexually transmittable diseases.

The Brown derby had the best Langostinos. We ate there all the time in the 70's. There were not that many steak houses beside that when we grew up.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Sorry if some find this offensive but it cracks me up every time I see it. I think you should go to the fancy Gay bar and have a drink to recapture the moment. I been to a few gay bars sometimes not on purpose. They can be very fun.

Is this week ever going to end? It is dragging over here. I got a lot to get done this weekend so we can head to the beach next week, so I guess that is why it is going so slow. We have to drive to WV to pick up the flooring for my mom's house and get the dog organized. We are in a VRBO so got to pack all the bathroom paper, kitchen stuff, laundry detergent. It is a lot to get together. Also, packing food beach chairs, umbrellas and of course Rons metal detector. It will be a lot.

Happy Good Morning and Happy BIG 50 to you JB! 50 is awesome.

Grandparents are still standing over here. Winning. Yesterday's zoo camp was a big hit, new school clothes were bought, entire meals and dessert plates were painted out of rocks, gymnastic class was remembered and and the GP's were not late to pick up. Killing this thing. Oh and also, all the brilliant colors of hair wax washed out and nothing stained.

On accountability, I was able to keep shoes on all day, so that's progress. But no intentional exercise was done. I got in 6249 steps. Food choices were pretty dang good. M&M's were had and counted.

Today is zoo camp immediately followed by softball skills camp for the youngest. Our zoo opens the new Panda exhibit today and PandAmonium is expected. I hope the traffic is not too awful. Other than that, return a couple of misses on clothes and dusting and laundry. I forgot how much laundry littles produce.

QoTD: I do not remember. I had been married 2 1/2 years and had a 14 month old. We had zero money for anything but diapers and food and Hail Mary's for rent each month. I started early but damn I love having 40ish year old kids to hang out with in my early sixties. Hard work on the front end, cruising on the back end.

food today!

B: egg and ham

L: leftover chicken and mashed potato

D: steak and cheese sandwiches with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Hold the "sandwich" part for me, please.

Peace Everybody!

That reminded me. A couple of days ago I drove by some kids with what looked like a lemonade stand. I hadn't seen that in a very long time. When I drove by them a second time, I noticed what they were selling. It looked like they bought a couple of really big cases of M&Ms, and were selling the individual packs. I've never seen that before.
