My mom left me all of her angels - there are dozens, especially in ornament form.

My mom did ceramics for years. I still have some really nice christmas stuff she made. She made several full nativity sets, and we all have a set. She glazed some in plain white, and handprints other sets. Really first rate work. She stored them in boxes, and was meticulous in labeling them. Yo this day, one box is marked "White Nativity," the other is marked "Colored Nativity."

Oh, Ma.

Good morning, everybody!

We had a great weekend in Toronto! Unknown to us it was Civic Day yesterday, plus Carnivale, and other festivals going on around the city. They told us at the hotel that it was their biggest weekend of the year.

On the way top the airport, something that I was eating did not feel right going down and I was nervous that I wasn't even going to be able to make it, but after some coughing and blowing of my nose, I started to feel better after about an hour. We had a nice lunch on Friday with our friends and went to see Cheap Trick/Journey/Def Leppard at the Rogers Center (which I still refer to as SkyDome).

Saturday we out for breakfast and then rented bicycles. I felt like I spent the entire weekend either trucking around food that I couldn't finish or throwing it away. And then when I got home, I was eating everything in sight. Restaurant food is just so much quantity. In the evening we went to a lovely steakhouse called Hy's highlighted by a bottle of L'Aventure, which I had tried in Paso Robles, with Lisa, last winter.

Sunday was the tennis tournament. It was qualifying, which is the higher ranked players participating in a play-in to make the main tournament that starts today. Marilyn got a selfie with Jelena Osapenko and pictures of Leyla Fernandez playing football. Sunday night i had a cannoli - so yummy. Yesterday was mostly a travel day. We didn't feel like paying for hotel brunch, so I went out to get pastries. Marilyn raved all morning about the chocolate croissant that I brought home for her. Little did she know that it came from a gas station convenience store.

Anyways, its back to work and fitness today.

QOTD: I've actually never been in the attic of our house even though we have lived here for 22 years.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Chicken sandwich

Dinner: Hopefully my son is making us steaks

Have a great day, all!

You and Marilyn have such wonderful adventures. And you do such a wonderful job of describing and sharing them with us.

I'm sure Roger would prefer Roger's stadium. While we were on our road trip, he started calling Kroger's K-Rogers.

Ahhh. L'Aventure. Piccolo rooftop, fire pits, piles of blankets with bellies full of amazing food and ending the evening with a disagreement with a stranger over toilet fixtures. You don't forget an evening like that easily!
