What's on your Wednesday Menu?
on 7/31/24 1:58 am
Morning all! I got nothin'. Heading in on the early train and I laid in bed for too long, so I gotta get going.
QOTD: Do you have a healthy lifestyle role model? I realized I don't really have someone that I am aspiring to be like lately. Sometimes it helps me to have someone to look towards.
Accountability: Good. I swapped out a few things but I was on plan. I did, however, try eating a scant three M&Ms just to see if they would bother me, and they did a little. So I guess that answers that--no sugar for me.
- Protein Coffee
- Egg Bites
- Kevin's Natural Honey Garlic Beef
- Himalayan Pink Salt Popcorn
- Ricotta Stuffed Shells
My friend is 86 and still goes line dancing four or five nights a week. She eats everything and has some extra weight. Maybe 20 pounds.
A neighbor is 89 and she teaches swimming and water aerobics. She stays slim but and follows no diets.
The secret is to never stop moving. And enjoy every day.

Good mornin everyone!
We're in the middle of a heatwave. Yesterday was 104° and today looks to be the same today. Not supposed to have highs below 96° for about the next ten days or so. I'm over it. The heat is far worse on me than the cold. It's been another very little sleep night/morning. I did manage to get a 45 or so minute nap but woke up with extreme arm and hand pain. I am over that as well.
Today I need to pick up prescriptions. I am hoping other than that to stay home most of the day. I'm getting a couple small ring shipments today supposedly. I'll need to finish some of that stuff. USPS has been messing up a little here so I am not certain it'll actually be delivered. I did start on something I was going to do for myself. Now I think it might be too fancy. I never go anywhere fancy. It'll depend on how it looks, if it will be as fancy as I think it will.
QOTD: I always really admired Richard Simmons. Not wanting to look like him but just inspired by him. He made me feel like I could do these dances and I have done a many of them. It makes me sad that I can't do them right now. He was always so kind to people. It was so sad for me when he passed away recently.
B: eggs cheese and a biscuit...coffee x 3 or 4
L: ???? Maybe a Brie mini wedge on a small naan and some lunch meat
D: no clue
That's very on brand for you, Teenie.

I think Mick Jagger always took care of himself. But Keith Richards is 80. How on earth is he still alive?

Good morning and happy half way point! Well, I guess the 3 M&Ms is a good test; I know my hatred of RHs keeps me on the straight and narrow, right up until it doesn't, and then rinse and repeat, lol.
QOTD - Sheila -- I want to embrace fitness the way she has!
Has everyone heard about the MASSIVE Boar's Head Recall? If you a a deli meat person, check the alert and your shelves. I had to throw out some ham.
Accountability - I was going to have one of my Canadian Kit Kats (caramel crisp) but I tried one bite and it was awful so into the tra**** went. I wasn't really hungry at the point, we had just talked about having the lemon cake after our salad and cheese so I was "deserving" something sweet. Brains suck. But at least I didn't eat it just because even though that had been the approach, lol. I also only got 28 active minutes and 7803 steps yesterday.
Busy day at work then my trainer then I need to get a few things done around the house.
menu today
coffee plus half and half X3
left over cheese, pesto dip and one slice bread
filet that I need to make
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

We just finished the last of our BH ham and was planning to get some more today. I hadn't heard about the recall - thanks!

I ate the last 2 pieces of Boars head roast beef yesterday. I bought it Saturday it was $11.99 a pound and seemed like it was starting to turn bad already. My inner fat girl said eat it at that price, so I did. I am not feeling any ill effects and I fed half to Rudy, so I hope we avoided the outbreak.
