Good morning from Maine! We just got back from breakfast and we leave for class in about an hour. Yesterday was a nice meandering trip up the coast with a stop for lobster and a lighthouse--as one does in ME :)

QOTD: What's your favorite comfort TV show that you've watched a million times and never get tired of? I have a few. I could watch 30 Rock, Frasier or Friends over and over. I have also recently found that the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries are fantastic tv comfort-food :)

Food is a big old ??. We went out to a diner for breakfast at 6am and I had one sausage patty, 2 bites of scrambled egg and 2 bites of a pancake. Grim said it was a pathetic showing and said I should stuff the pancakes in my purse and eat them all day. I politely declined. We're going out to lunch with the class, and I have no idea what's happening for dinner.

G'morning all!

JB - Once again, relatable meme. Stressed or sad, my answer was always chocolate. Great pic of the lighthouse.

Another beautiful sunny day was had in San Diego. Now I understand why Lisa always says the sunshine tax. It's so weird that there are 4 of us on OH in CA with widely different weather and temps throughout the year. I am basking in the sun while I can because once back home I'll be in low 60s temps with fog. Yesterday DS was working so I was on my own. I worked till about 1:00 pm and then went to Mission beach. First I walked around to get my steps in, then I found a less crowded spot on the sand and plopped myself there with my audiobook and people watched.

Today I am following Lisa's suggestion to hike Mt Cowles. It's about 3 miles round trip but supposedly very steep. She even said, I think sarcastically, if I have any energy left I can do lake Murray to reach my usual 5 miles goal. Challenge accepted.

QOTD - weirdly, I don't have a comfort TV show. I used to always have the news on in the background, does that count? Kids always joke that they grew up on CNN, with Larry King, Wolf Blitzer, and Christian Amanpour.

Some more pics of my day with Lisa.

Such a pretty lighthouse picture! Have fun today!

I really am not feeling well; I just went through and moved all the meetings I can and I think I can make it through a half day at work. I probably know 30 people that have traveled in the last month to 6 weeks and ended up with covid, so I masked coming and going through the airports/flights (that seems to be the common denominator); I doubt it is covid or anything serious, more I only drank 20 oz of water yesterday while running from place to place and spent an hour outside at noon in the heat and humidity serving food. I will hydrate and rest and be fine for tomorrow because I have too much stuff to do.

I did get 10,758 steps but also only 16 active minutes. I swear, I felt like I was hustling but apparently my heart rate was just chilling. Fit bit says I have a perfect readiness score today and suggests 62 minutes. I'm going to pass.

Menu will be all the liquids, maybe some pb raisin toast and other neutral kinds of foods.

Monday's almost full moon, a pretty flower in my front yard and the waterfall I hiked to on Wednesday.

Have a fabulous friday and wonderful weekend everyone

Man, I missed the QOTD again...not on my game, clearly. When I had cable, Law and Order Original Recipe was my go to. I'm sure it is on one of the streamers but I haven't looked for it. Now I probably go back to old episodes of GBBO more than anything.

That purple flower is sooo pretty.
I sure hope it's not Covid, and yes people are getting it more frequently while traveling. A good day rest should do it. If you feel the scratchy throat though take a Covid test, this variant starts in the throat.
