Good morning ~ Great pics, what a picturesque walk to work! This week has felt like I've barely worked. I was sick on Monday, Tues and Wed were productive and yesterday was a staff day away from the office. I have so much to do still, but I also have a Pedi that I'm not missing to kick off my weekend. I will get organized though - that is my only goal. I feel great, still have a sinus thing lingering but I'm ready to get back to my exercise goals this weekend. My Ninja Creami comes today so that is all I will be doing this weekend. I wish the additional tubs I ordered were arriving today too, but that will be next week sometime. Thanks to Sheila, I've got some great ideas! Oh, Snowpiercer Season 4 (final) premieres Sunday - It's a dark show but I love it.

QOTD - Summer makes me think of the beach - my happy place. Depending where we lived, my family went as often as we could. I go now to walk the dog often. Rob and I don't go for the day nearly enough. I just bought some cute cover-ups w/pockets for beach combing. It's time to head back!

Accountability - good - I tried to plug in the foods from yesterday, but it was a guess and I went over in cals. I am so dependant on my food scale, I can't eyeball for diddly. 11 active minutes, 5,929 steps. Today 166.4 - devil be gone. No planned exercise but back at it tomorrow.

B - coffee, protein shake, protein pastry/brownie

l - chicken bites, mini cesar salad kit

d - TBD

s - fruit, jerky, popsicles

Have a great day!

G'morning all!

Friday came fast, says the one who didn't work the first 3 days of the week.

I have a mini hike, mostly a stroll, scheduled with a couple of friends on Sat. It's one of those parts of the state parks where you need a guide and you need to sign up for the guided tour. The whole reason we are doing it is because they don't allow you to go in without a guide. After the tour we are planning a nice lun*****armel.

I need to give a huge shout-out to Grim. You guys may recall I had a three sessions iron infusion back in Jan due to my Ferretin being so low it was almost negative. I felt better right away, no more dizziness and seeing stars everytime I got up from a sitting position. These symptoms started coming back slowly about a month ago. My bariatric center is very resistant in ordering iron infusions and I figured there is no way they would let me have it again mid year. In one post somebody was asking for vitamins and Grim suggested Proferrin for ferretin. It might be the placebo effect but I don't think so, but wouldn't you know it since I started taking it I can get up as fast as I want and I don't get dizzy? I haven't done any bloodworks but I'm sure my ferretin is going up and I can't wait to meet with my bariatrician and tell her about this miracle pill. Also, unlike iron pills it does not affect your stomach. Win win. So again, Grim, thank you very much!

QOTD - Our local pool (called Boccaccio) and the competitions from the diving platform. It had three levels, the highest one was 10 meters (32 feet) and the thrill we would get jumping from it. Once I didn't keep my arms tight to my body and ended up with bruises under my arms for days, but it was soooo much fun.

Few pics from Philly and our move from DC.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • TJ kebabs + fage yogurt
  • Protein icecream - mixed berries
  • E: 5 miles wog

Happy Fri-yay!

I was getting iron infusions several times a year. I found out about Proferrin from this board. Now my ferritin is great. I just looked and it was 875 in March of this year. None of the other iron pills I was taking ever helped. I have been taking Proferrin for about three years.

good to know about Proferrin. I've been taking carbonyl iron since the beginning and haven't had any iron issues (plus it doesn't bother my stomach), but this is good to know in case I ever have issues with my iron levels.
