What's on your Monday Menu?

Hello hello! I have been up for hours but forgot it was Monday because I have the day off! Whoo! I have absolutely no plans today. Maybe I will try to go to the beach again? Maybe I will spend the day organizing my life? Maybe I will get ahead of my July cookie class and get everything done today? TBD! I had a nice quiet weekend and I feel rejuvenated :) Also, we saw the movie IF (Imaginary Friends) and it was super cute.

QOTD: What color is your house? (Sorry Grim, who complains that my QOTDs always have the same answer for both of us!) Ours is a white cape with dark blue shutters and door. I've been toying with painting the front door red for years, and I recently decided yellow might be better. But chances are it will stay blue forever and it will just be something I think about periodically ;)

Accountability: Hmm, after the first 2 Wegovy shots I felt like someone removed my stomach, but the 3rd one had almost no effect. I had too much pizza this weekend. One more shot at this low dose, then the following week the dose is doubled! Eek. This menu is just a guess because I might change my plans and do something out of the house. TBD.

  • protein coffee
  • egg bites
  • couscous, chicken & veggies
  • lavash with cukes, chicken & dairy free tzatziki

Brick with beige trim like every building in condo complex. I always wanted a yellow door and never did it. It is pretty conservative here. I am on the lower level and put some bright colored cushions on my patio. I was hoping the HOA did not have a problem with that but they actually liked it. There was a discussion last week because one of the ladies put a potted tomato plant on her back patio and the HOA does not allow agricultial products. Some rules seem so dumb. The people here are constantly watching to make sure everyone complies. They take it all very seriously. There are also no animals allowed, but they get around that by getting their cats and dogs certified as emotional support animals. Then the law says the animal is allowed.

Good morning, everybody!

My youngest definitely refers to that period as "the late 1900's." It makes it seem so long ago, even though I was working in the same job and raising the same kids during part of it.

On Friday, I'm going to Idaho for a three day fishing trip, which I'm excited about. But between then and now, I have so many things to do. Including 4 trips to Crossfit and 4 swims. And 2 in-office days. So, I am up early today and doing 6:30 Crossfit. One thing at a time, and I'm sure that I will get through it all.

I had a great weekend, but it went too fast and I could have used another day. Stevie Nicks was great. She kept apologizing for her voice, but I thought she sounded good. During Landslide they played a montage of pictures of Stevie and Christine McVie. And Billy Joel came out on stage to duet Stop Dragging My Heart Around. Growing up, my sister played the Billy Joel records a lot. Like really, a lot. So, I've been kind of off of him for the last 40 years to make up. But he sounded good.

Soldier Field is a tough venue, because it's a 45 minute walk from my office. We didn't get home until 1:00 AM Saturday.

QOTD: Grey house, white trim, red doors.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

I'm sure you'll get through all your tasks this week and the good part is that it'll go quick and you'll be headed out to fish before you know it.

Stive Nicks always had that voice. Glad you got to enjoy it. Yeah, for your fishing trip.

I'm guessing you had other fly rods before your class. Is the one you made now your favorite?

The one I made is definitely my favorite, but it's larger and designed for Sal****er. I intend to go back and make a trout rod as my retirement present to myself.

Soldier Field and Wrigley are just tough venues for logistics.
