I know I always post The mountains because they are so beautiful but the plains sometimes have a barren, stark beauty too. Usually at sunrise!

Good morning ~ It's finally friday! The week was a quickie for me, long hours and thing after thing. I have 2 meetings today, one off site at a coffee shop - nice, but they will take up most of my short day. I'm considering working from home this weekend because I'm running out of FY time and I have so much to do still. After work I am swimming and grocery shopping and having a chill evening. It's supposed to be in the 80's this weekend!! I'm going to try doing an upper then lower body workout Sat/Sun. I need to include some resistance training. I'd like to get outside and walk/hike. I'm not golfing this weekend though maybe a bucket of balls, that's it. I like it, but do not have the same passion for it as Rob. We are looking to buy some bikes in the next few weeks so that will be another weekend activity we can do together or on our own. I'm looking forward to that.

QOTD - I love the Beatles and my first thought was how do I pick a favorite? When I was little, I would play the 45 of Hey Jude (B side USSR) over and over so it's the sentimental choice. Too many songs to choose from really and I like them for different reasons. But I do have a favorite album Sgt. Pepper. From start to finish over and over, all the livelong day.

Accountability - Yesterday - great on food/water, 80 active minutes and 12,636 steps. Today - 176.8 - ugh and 30 minutes on treadmill done. I imagine my body is waking up to using muscles I haven't used in forever or with such consistency and holding on to fluid or inflammation. I will keep on, keeping on. Swimming after work - looking forward to that.

B- coffee, protein shake, cottage cheese w/tomato

l - protein bar or chipotle depending on time

d- eggs, bacon, hash browns, english muffin

s- nectarine

Have a great day!

Good Morning! I hope your injection goes okay today. Yay, I didn't realize you have a new flex schedule! So in case you missed Jen's question to me yesterday about the cyber attack/car dealerships... if you've seen the news stories about CDK, yup we use them and we've been without access most of Wednesday and all of yesterday. Luckily, for us our payroll is processed with ADP and we integrate it into the accounting side but use reports within accounting to calculate some departments pay. I'm glad I like to be proactive abd ran the reports Wednesday night-when we had access briefly even though they were a bit early but at least had something to work with yesterday. Either today or next week it'll be chaos for all departments when we have to enter or integrate everything that happened while we are down.

QOTD: Yesterday

TSS: 9 years 10 months

B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, light and fit yogurt and some fruit

S: Mixed nuts, a piece of fruit and yogurt

D: TBD

ES: SF jello

E: 1/2 hour stationary bike and at-home PT

V/W: On track

Totals: TBD

Have a great day!

Good morning, everybody!

I was up early and went to 6:30 Crossfit. So, I am simultaneously cooling down and typing. I swallowed a bug while I was running outside during the workout. Fortunately, it was a tiny little midge and not some monstrous Cicada, but still not a pleasant feeling at all.

This should be a good weekend. I have to sign our Visa applications for our trip to Asia, head into work for a quiet (hopefully day), lunch at my favorite spot, meeting my niece for a drink before the concert, then Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel. Tomorrow is a free gymnastics clinic at Crossfit and some triathalon training. Sunday we have the makeup for our smallmouth bass fly fishing clinic from a couple of weeks ago. And next week is a four day before we have July 4th week off.

QOTD: I have to say that I am much more Rolling Stones than Beatles. But for Beatles, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is my favorite.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Steak and hash Browns

Dinner: Concert stuff or apps with my niece

Have a great day, all!

Good morning all. I ended up spending about 5 hours on the road yesterday, so I'm planning on going nowhere today. There's lots to keep me busy though.

Ribeye 3 days in a row! It seems like a treat now, but there were a few years I can swear I had it pretty much ever day. Mmmmmm. Some day, when I'm gone, I'd be curious to know how well marbled I am.

Does anyone else have trouble finding shoes in their size? I know JB does, but she has the opposite problem -- she can't find them small enough. I keep looking, as good support seems increasingly important. But I went on one site that said they had 944 different men's shoes. When I filtered by my size, it was only 14. All 14 were hideous.

We had a tree taken down last week. It was leaning, badly, toward our house. A crazy man just climbed (clumb?) The tree and started cutting branches, lowering them on a rope. No no no no. Way too scary for me.

Here's a couple of tree pictures, and one of my first batch of boxes since I had my knees done last fall.
