What's on your Tuesday Menu?

My mother used a pound of it to make 10 lunches everyday. I remember it took a whole loaf of bread and bread was 33 cents a loaf. Each sandwich had one slice of chip chop ham. We alway had the cookies with chocolate stripes. I would get a carton of chocolate milk for a nicket and really enjoyed those lunches. I do see it being sold online by Isalys.

We had hot dogs sliced up and cooked in tomato sauce and called it Spanish Hot Dogs. We did have sloppy joes from hamburger on rolls. We usually ate them outside on the picnic table in the summer because they were sloppy.

G'morning all!

Late to the party!

I always thought of that meme. Why would I be tempted by an apple? Especially if I lived in a forest with a bunch of little people and all the animals are my friends. I'm sure they can bring me all the fruit I want. Chocolate, on the other hand, living in a forest would be very tempting. Give me chocolate and I would never question the origin of it.

Day 5 of quarantine. Feeling a lot better. No new CDC rules since 2020 for quarantine so we are going by DH's company rules. I will test today, if still positive I need to stay in quarantine for 5 more days and test again on day 10. If negative but with symptoms (runny nose, cough) mask up at all times but can come out of quarantine. If fever persists stay in quarantine. My main concern is giving the Covid to my husband, I'd rather be on my death bed than getting this man sick.

QOTD - I am seriously thinking Jen and I were separated at birth (although she is a redhead and British/Irish blood, and can't stand the sun, and I'm the opposite) because she nailed our dads choice. Little Prairie dad was such a good dad, and Dr Huxtable was so understanding and always with a good solution. I also loved his relationship with the mom, united front always.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Egg bites
  • Tuna & quest chips
  • Tons of Ricola candies
  • E: sick day

Happy taco Tuesday!

From what all you ladies have shared about man-flu experiences, I think giving your hubby Covid is very much to be avoided. Hope you are able to escape quarantine soon!

QJB- 2 lbs is a very nice start to weight loss! Good job.

QOTD: I need to think about this one....i may circle back.

3 days ago after taking my morning meds and supplements I have some nausea and tetching. It finally relieved with a couple of bites of yogurt. Last night I woke up with what felt like air pains in my upper abdomen. Some nausea which was mostly relieved with zofran. DH was insistent about me going to the ER since these symptoms were similar to when I had the twisted bowel (volvulous). I reluctantly went. I don't have any more bowel to lose so that convinced me to go in. I am still in the ED. Just had a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis. Waiting on results. Labs looked ok except some mild dehydration (so much for the plan to cut back on fluids ?). I am getting some iv fluids so that will help. Overall, nausea is better. No air pains at this point so that is good.

Other then that both new. I assume I will go home and get some work done.

have a great day.
