I don't know if you watch My 600 Pound Life. Sometimes a patient who is more than 600 pounds will tell Dr. Now that they are afraid to diet because they might become malnourished. Dr. Now will say, you have eaten enough food to last you for the next four years.

I think you will never have a no exercise day as a failure, because you have done enough exercise to last you for at least the next four years.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends

That is kind of you to say! I know for my mental health, I need consistent and regular exercise and I am usually pretty good about holding myself accountable to my plan for the day so that was really the failure yesterday! Today has been better, even with a day worth of meetings, I'm up to 8900 steps and 51 active minutes!

You've been working so hard. I'm glad the stats reflect all that effort.

G'morning all!

QJB - What a great way to interview somebody while listening to them playing piano. Are you part of the interview process? In other words do you have any input on their piano abilities or do you stick to the HR stuff?

We are back to normal on the home and work front. It was so nice yesterday that I could just go into the kitchen and warm up my food instead of having a dry bar or freeze dry food.

I'll try and share one fall at a time with you. If you get bored with the pics just let me know, I have so many pics and Havasupai was so beautiful that I could post for the next month with pics from the trip.

The first fall and the most famous one is Havasu fall. BTW I don't know if I shared that Havasupai means people of the blue-green water. The sign explains the water color and the terraces.

QOTD - my pride right now resides in my body's ability to do the hard stuff. I never hiked or camped growing up, and now I keep up with DH like I was born into it. I am also proud of not jumping into situations in order to help my kids; it has taken me a long time to land the helicopter but I stand back and let them figure it out while inside I'm itching to jump in.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Egg bites
  • Jello, soy crackers w/unexpected cheddar spread, ratio protein yogurt
  • Protein buffalo chicken
  • E: strength training

Happy hump day!

Sheila, DD hikes and visits a lot of parks. As soon as I said that one of my OH friends was going hiking a****erfalls in Grand Canyon she knew exactly what I was referring to and was jealous.

It's mind boggling to me that they open up reservations once a year (Feb 1st) and the spots are gone for the whole year in a span of couple of hours.
We saw several girls' groups, almost like a girls night out but backpacking. Very cute.

I am glad that more and more national parks are moving to reservations systems. I know they announced this week that it's becoming permanent at RMNP.

I will never get tired of your pictures!

I think you are right to be proud of how athletic you are. I bet people that meet you for the first time now assume you've always been an athlete!
