I'm so sorry about your stepfather. We've had a lot of dementia in my family (both Alzheimer's and frontotemporal), and they are devastating diseases. It was especially tough with my father - to jus****ch him fade away from us. Near the end, it's much worse for the family than it is for the person, though, who's no longer aware of what's going on. That thought kept me going. But yea - really tough. I'm so sorry.

So nice to see your post.

What is the next step in life for your middle child?

It's good that you were able to spend time with your step dad in his limited days. While his body may not be able to provide 100% full ability to himself, I'm sure he gave 110% of himself to you for the past 35 years. I'm confident you already incorporate what you've absorbed from him in your day to day. I feel the love through the screen.

You have to get the perfect brownie pan. Every piece is a corner. It has a metal grid that goes through the brownie mix before baking.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

That would be a good pan!!!
Our middle is neurodiverse and college isn't the right path for him. He has considered trade school. Right now he's in a program that pays him minimum wage to stock shelves at Walgreens. When it ends they can decide whether or not to hire him. He's definitely not super motivated so we really need to stay on him. Luckily he really wants to drive so he is learning the correlation of work = money = you can buy things!

Working in the trades is a wonderful opportunity for many people. They are paid well to learn and then when they are actually working the wages and benefits are excellent. They also retire with great pensions.

Hang in there.

And I second Grim, brownie corners? If you are not a dessert person you can't even have the corners.
