Argh, we had a good run, OH. Why do you have to refuse to load pictures today?

Anyway, I don't have time to sit here and try to upload. I need to get going on a walk. Busy busy day ahead. Working without a break on camera (I'm the presenter) from 11am - 5pm and I a few meetings before that, too. We're going to a baseball game tonight. Yay!

My allergies have been at their worst for the last week. I thought all hope was lost and that I would just die from my headache and sore throat. But Grim cleaned out my air purifier filters yesterday and I see a glimmer of hope again! He's such a mensch.

QOTD: Do you have a favorite healthier version of a dessert? I haven't played around with recipes for tastes-like-a-treat-but-is-actually-healthy desserts in years but HungryRoot included a Black Bean Brownie Batter in my delivery this week and its soooo yummy! It's still got a lot of calories but the macros beat the hell out of a regular brownie.

Accountability: 7712 steps. I ate okay but exactly not what I planned because I had forgotten about some leftovers I wanted to finish.

  • protein coffee
  • egg wrap omelette
  • veggie meatballs & asparagus
  • dinner @ the ballpark--maybe a hot dog?

  • High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
  • High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
  • Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
  • Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
  • Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)

Here's one that made me laugh recently!

Good morning and yay Tuesday. Busy day here too - good luck with the 6 hours of on camera presenting!

11,108 steps yesterday but today I will just take what I can get, I don't think I will hit 10k and just hope to be above 5K.

qotd - no, unless freezing the L&F yogurt versions count? I would rather (try) to have a few bites of the good stuff than a whole serving of a not up to par replacement that leaves me still wanting the good version until I cave and also eat the good version...and then I never stop at a few bites...and I already also had the fake version. Wait, I'm the only one that does that? How bizarre, how bizarre, lol

accountabilty - one of my colleagues make homemade eggrolls for "snacks" and they were delicious as my morning and afternoon snack. At least I split them up and paced myself!

coffee plus half and half and a protein bar for sure, I have a chomps but other than that no idea.
have a terrific Tuesday!

Same! Then I'm salty that I wasted time and calories on the fake!! Not anymore, I'm done.

Morning all. Yesterday ended up being about home improvement stuff. Chimney guys are here, meeting with various tree removal people, gas company, etc. The only thing I actually did was pull a lot of weeds while waiting.

QOTD: I don't really have any substitutions. I just eat the real thing. The best I can do is avoid it, or try to keep it to a minimum. Though I have to say, my two go-to flavors of Quest bars are yummy, and function as meal replacements.

Good morning all! I've been a lurker for a bit - I had a visit down to NC to visit my parents and then a house full of guests for our middle's high school graduation, but they just left and I'm back to regularly scheduled programming and a routine. Which I am excited about. I have a huge tray of stuff for DH to grill today so that should set us up for success this week!

In sad news, I am so glad I went to visit last week because my stepdad is nearing end of life. It really makes you think about what's important and what kind of person you want to be. He has been an exceptional parent, guide and support over the last 35 years and I'm really sad for us. Not for him - Lewy Body Disease has robbed us of his true essence. Tell your people you love them today.

I know you all have experienced various losses so I'm preemptively thanking you now for thinking of us and for your love and support. I appreciate y'all even when I'm just lurking.

Q: nope, not a dessert person so I just make the regular ones. I made double chocolate brownies yesterday and I did sneak a single bite of a corner. I'm a corner girl, NOTthe middle!

Meals today will be spicy chicken sausage, chicken quesadilla and maybe a leafy green salad with burrata. I meant to work out this morning but I was tired so I'll go after work.
Have a great day, everyone.

Not a dessert person? It's like I don't even know you.

You can have the 4 corner brownies, I'll have the rest.
