Good morning weekenders ~ I had a lovely day yesterday and slept like a baby for 10 hours last night after falling asleep in the recliner at 6pm! Today should be a lot of fun. I'm taking little girl on to the park for a long walk, laundry and chores. After the sun comes out around noon, we are going to play golf. We are walking 9 holes so I will be getting in my steps today for sure! Tonight we are getting pizza and watching a movie.

QOTD - How is your journey going? Are you where you want to be? What are you actively doing to get there, or to maintain? I'm trying like hell to get to my original goal of 175 and set a new one of 165. I've realized how badly I did the first time around - literally starving myself to get to 150 and I looked and felt horrible. I believe I can do it in a healthy way this time. It's slow going yet sustainable so I know I am on the right track. Focusing on protein and fiber first, then whatever else fits in my calorie deficit. I want to do all the exercise, but I am notorious for quitting when I over commit. Now, having only to reach my step goal of 10k is easy yet hard... and so far, I'm doing really well.

Accountability - wine, but I calories I made fit and kept it to one glass. 32 active minutes and I did not reach my step goal - only 7107, partly because I fell asleep so early last night but will make up for that today. 177 this am!! Lots of activity happening today and I'm feeling great.

B- coffee w/fiber, eggbeater veggie scramble and protein shake

l- big salad w/chicken

d- 2 slices of pizza, cherry tomatoes

s- jerky and string cheese

Have a wonderful day!

Ha! I had to stare at that for like three minutes!!

Happy June :-) It's cruise month and I'm looking forward to that and working hard on keeping my workouts up so I can do all the things.

I had a very lovely day yesterday that included breakfast at a great place, wine tasting place that was gorgeous. I did not indulge but loved the sunshine and the views, a nice meet up on our neighbors patio to toast some good news and a yummy dinner made at home. I did manage to make myself get out and take a walk and I forced myself to start by going uphill, which I usually avoid like the plague. I ended my day with 56 exercise minutes, 12 flights of stairs and 10,312 steps.

Today looks easy. I rolled out of bed and into a yoga workout for strength and stretching. I plan on walking the circuit at the park 7 times with running up the 40 stairs on each loop. That should take care of most of my exercise goals. Need to get a few groceries and then I can read in the sunshine for the rest of the day.

QOTD: Funny, I am so frustrated with all this work and the scale not moving that I was just reviewing my last two years. My goal weight is 118 and I haven't been there in over two years. I have maintained between 120 and 123 for the last 12 months. 122.4 today. I put on a pair of pants yesterday that I last wore in October and I could barely get them on. Why is that? Shrinkage in the closet? I doubt it. I am getting rounder and curvier with each passing month even though my weight has been pretty stable. Maybe I have put on some muscle weight that counter acts the fat weight? Not sure, but I was totally unimpressed yesterday. My daily goals are to move and put good fuel in me in a way that brings me joy.

Bites today...

B: leftover hummus.

L: leftover roasted chicken

D: The plan is Pesto chicken with burrata, but I have to remember to buy the burrata after my park walk!

Peace Everybody.

In a way that bring you joy - I love that! That is my goal too. You walk that walk of this lifestyle and I admire that so much.

Qotd - I would give myself a solid b. I make more good choices than bad ones, I take better overall care of myself and I don't obsess or give a crap about others opinions on my choices. I decided I wanted to lose about 10 lbs before I get my new license toward the end of the year....but realized I have a big vacation in between when I decided and when that is so am trying for 20, I've lost 8 which keeps me on track. I miss being able to lose 8 lbs in a couple days but don't miss being thr weight that made that possible.

I am happy with the exercise and physical condition I am in but want to improve with more strength training and continuing to make sure I have good mobility and balance. At the Stevie nicks concert last night I was both inspired and twrrified but the older women there - they were living their best life and rocking out but so many canes, crutches, scooters, needs for balance support. I had wls because I didn't want to end up with all the physical problems and medications that were coming so now I need to cointune to do my part.

solid b is acceptable but I was alrpways an A student so there's improvements to be had!

I love that you are so committed and consistent, it's what I aspire to be. I need to not give such a crap about others opinions - work in progress... Thank you for setting such an amazing example!

The visual I have of the geriatric Stevie Nicks concert goers is pretty hilarious!

I find that the deeper I get into my 50s the less others influence me. My bestie says I'm going to be one those old women that just says whatever. I say why wait, lol. It's my own version of "when I am an old woman I will wear purple". Also, I didn't wait on the purple either, clearly!
