Good morning all and Happy Friday,

I've had a very active and fun 24 hours. This morning, it's time for the art museum and go from there. I don't think I'll stick around for the Brewers White Sox tonight.

QOTD- no season tickets.

B: Waffle, orange juice, part of a garbage plate.

L: ?? Maybe German food. I am in Germantown so when in Rome.

D: ??

Wow great experiences. I have never won at gamblingl, mainly because I am so timid and sure I will lose. Congrats on your win. That steak looks amazimg.

Thanks. The slots are good for that mindset, if you ever find yourself in a casino. Timid and knowing the house will win. The casinos don't stay in business giving away money. With slot**** a button and get a predetermined outcome. It's nothing that should be intimidating. It is overwhelming though with different games, game variations, rules, Bells and whistles. It doesn't really matter if you don't know the rules since the machine will tell you the outcome.

I don't care much for the slots but I love mashing video poker buttons.

That steak and the lobster bisque were delicious. I'd return.

Mornin' All!

it seems like I haven't been on here on ages (I haven't been posting daily in a while because of Mom issues, but I usually at least READ the posts - but I haven't even done that in the last week since I've been out of town and pretty busy...). So anyway, I was in Cleveland last weekend for the burial of my uncle's ashes (the last blood uncle/aunt I had), and then went back to Vermont with his wife, whom I stayed with for several days. I thought of some of you as she drove me to airport in Hartford, CT yesterday - Jim when we drove by the sign to Amherst (I think you went to U Mass?) and of Jim, Amy, Julia, and Grim while driving through Massachusetts in general. Anyway, eating while in Ohio and Vermont was completely out of control. Lots of wine - and restaurants for almost every meal. And very little exercise except for the long morning walks I went on while in Cleveland with my aunt's niece (my aunt by marriage - hers by blood). Feeling it big time - and I'm going to give it a few days before stepping on the scale. But back to it today. Ridiculous eating will stop - and I'm going to get out on my bike today.

QOTD: I don't think I've ever had season tickets to ANYTHING.

I have no idea what's in the fridge, but I think I'm going to mostly have protein shakes and Greek yogurt today. I don't need calories but I at least need to hit my protein goal.

tomorrow we're headed to Racine, WI to tour Wingspread (a Frank Lloyd Wright house owned by the Johnson family - as in Johnson Wax) - otherwise, no plans for the weekend. YAY! I need the down time!!

have a great day and weekend, everyone!

If I had a car and an extra day, I would have come to visit! I'll be back in Vermont again, though (well, as long as my aunt is still alive, anyway!), so I'll keep this in mind - I'd love to see you!!

P.S. DH really wants to go see his cousins in the Worcester area - so if we make that trip - that'll be another chance to go to Boston (and DH LOVES Boston, so I'm sure he'd want to go for a day or two regardless!)

Amy - I know you live in California now - but I think I remember that you're originally from Massachusetts. Thus, you popped into my mind, too!
