***Just updated the day to Tuesday because, apparently, it's Tuesday?

^^I sense some sarcasm from Dom, which I do not appreciate on this Tuesday morning!^^

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Lots of fun over here but I could definitely use a day to recover from all the fun and people-ing! We spent Saturday with Grim's family (and chickens!), then we took a one day trip to CT for my family's big graduation party, and yesterday we celebrated a friend's birthday here! All so fun, but I would kill for a day of Netflix on the couch in my PJs! I should have a nice quiet day in the office today, though. I really hope it stays that way.

In totally local news, is anyone outside of the Boston area following the Karen Read murder trial? If not, I highly recommend that you do a little googling. It's bound to end up being a fantastic true crime documentary on HBO someday because it's got some of the best (real) characters you could imagine, and a WILD story. In a nutshell, Karen is accused of backing her car into her cop boyfriend after a night of drinking and leaving his body in the snow pile to die. But she is counter-accusing his cop friends of doing it, covering it up, and blaming her. That's just scratching the surface. I have no idea who did it, but her defense team is doing a fantastic job of providing reasonable doubt and fingering a lot of other people, who even if they are not guilty--you want to see in jail. It's a fun one :)

QOTD: What kind of computer do you have and do you like it? I use a MacBook Air and I love it. I do wi**** was a touchscreen, but it's a great little machine so no complaints. I have an iPad tablet, too, but I basically only use it for the program, Procreate, which I can use to design cookie cutters, lol.

Accountability: I don't even know. My meals were okay but I had cake on Sunday AND Monday at two different events! I need to do a serious sugar detox this week.

  • protein coffee
  • eggs & toast
  • greek yogurt, cheese whisps & apple
  • chicken & hummus

Good morning ~ Happy Tuesday!! I tried to post a thread this weekend, but the site kept timing out. I was surprised to get on this morning and will be further surprised if this actually posts. Great weekend! We had lots of fun and all the things were accomplished minus the fab hike I had planned. I had an RH episode the night before, the worst one yet - it was scary! I was RH hungover and weak the next morning so didn't want to chance going. Next weekend it's definitely happening. I finished part 1 of S3 Bridgerton - omg! I then started the series over at S1E1 and can't believe all the things I missed or forgot. Good stuff. When that is over, I will rewatch Queen Charlotte while I wait for S3 part 2. New week, new staff person starts today - I now have a full team! Looking forward to great things from my unit - everything is finally into place!

QOTD - I have a work issue HP laptop and it does all I need. I have an ipad I use on the treadmill and watch tik tok or netflix.

Accountability - Too many bites of all the things. No drinking. 9,295 steps yesterday and if I hadn't fallen asleep in the recliner that would have been 10K - I couldn't make it happen while crawling to bed last night and woke up in the middle of the night mad! 180.4 today.

b- coffee x 2 + protein coffee, legendary pastry

l - cucumber salad and real good entree

d- tri tip and cheese quesadilla in a low carb tortilla

s - apple w/peanut butter

Have a great day!!

You are doing so great Amy Liz. I still have RH episodes and they seem to happen out of the blue with no difference in what I ate or drank. They feel scary, but if you relax and maybe sip some water, they are usually over in about 10 or 15 minutes. But awful when they are happening.

Mine lasts hours sometimes and water does nothing. Sugar helps but sometimes I am so delirious that I can't get up to take care of it which was the big sweaty case the other night. This one was more difficult that usual.

I keep glucose tablets next to the bed. I need about seven tablets to stop the sweating and shakiness.

Good Morning! It does sound like you had a good weekend. We took a drive Sunday and not much else this weekend which was perfect. We watched the docuseries on Netflix called Unlocked and it was pretty interesting. I have my PT evaluation today and although I'm glad to get the process started I also just dread PT and how they try and get me in 3 days a week and it's difficult for me to do that with my work schedule.

QOTD: I had to go look at my laptop, it's an hp. I don't have any issues with it but I don't use it all that much.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! This is a short short week for me. Except for one morning meting I have to join, I'm also off Friday!

my weekend was good but zero down time. I did get a real lesson in why we use sunscreen and moisturize, between seeing pictures of myself with high school classmates and then spending some time talking with random people at the various graduations. I'm taking the comments about how I don't look like I'm in my 50s and keeping them (and no, none of the comments were because they thought I looked older!). I will also say that the mean girls from high school that were still mean girls aged the worst. Hate and unhappiness are worse for you than smoking! I remember one of the things I wondered pre WLS was once my fat wasn't keeping my skin taut would I look a lot older. It's definitely not as tight as it used to be but probably most don't notice.

Accountability - the whole weekend was great, nothing from all the sweets on offer, just a couple of ****tails, good choices....until last night when I made and ate an entire pack of TJ's jalapeño and cream cheese wontons. Were they delish? Yes. Did I need all of them? Very much no!

tofay I have my elliptical in and I'm 1.5 coffees down. I'll have the usual three with half and half.

after my over indulgence last night, I will try to keep it light today with some Greek yogurt, deli meat and cheese and maybe some RGF chicken this evening.

qotd - I've been in tech for close to 30 years, I have all of them. Work is an HP laptop, I have a MacBook Air, 2 an iPad and an iPad mini (the mini I use for travel so I can download from my camera each night), 2 Mac desktops (one is really just music storage at this point) and the iPhone in my pocket is more powerful than the first desktop I used in the 80s.

have a wonderful Tuesday and start to the work week.

Good mornin y'all.

It was an ok weekend. I've been in an elevated state of pain. Not sure what is up with that. Today I should start the new pain med if they get it in. My shoulders hurt to use up into my neck. I'm heavily HEAVILY annoyed.

Today I have an appointment with a counselor on the phone. It's to see if we'd be a good match and only 15 minutes. It was recommended by my Medicaid provider. I'm giving it a go! We have to get a few things as we have the kids all day tomorrow. We're supposed to get severe weather today so I'm hoping it's not to bad.

QOTD: I have a Dell laptop. It's ok...if I could afford it I'd have a MacBook. I have an old iPad Pro that's stopped new updates and my Samsung phone. Oh and a Chromebook for the kids.

food is up in the air. I really need to buckled down on this. I need to find my want.

Well...the counselor was a bust. She doesn't take insurance so I can't do it. We were both bewildered why the INSURANCE company would recommend me to her.

QOTD- Work computer is company issue Dell laptop. My others include a gaming computer, an older gaming computer, a MacBook Pro, and an old Vaio laptop. I plan on scrapping the older gaming computer when I get everything off of it. I also have 8 & 9.7" Samsung tablets. The smaller one is what I travel with for my library books.

Ok I did get my plants in the ground, but they look like hell. I know they'll perk back up but my fear was that I killed them all. I still need to get some more plants since I had several seeds that didn't germinate.

I have blood work this AM so I haven't eaten since 7:30 last night, I wasn't feeling good anyway and didn't eat much yesterday. I'll be glad to get it over with. I also have the dermatologist this afternoon.

I finally weighed myself this morning and it wasn't as bad as I feared. Needless to say I really need to get my butt in gear and workout.

Have a great day everyone!
