I have a great story about being in a basement morgue when I was in Tasmania. I'll share it when I see you, it's a story that you have to see me act out.

Good Morning! What a bummer that the meeting was canceled. I had a good meeting with my newest team member yesterday as we are starting to get him functioning more in his own. Until now during our payroll processing days the person training him (my boss? wife) had been right by his side. We think he?s ready and she?ll still be available to help him but transitioning to where he?ll more of the day to day direction from me. He seems happy so that?s a great thing.

Good morning, everybody!

Today is basically a repeat of yesterday. Start on the computer at home, go to Crossfit, drive into the city, don't have an office, attend my meeting and go back home again. But after that, I will be WFH or off for the next 7 days, so that is pretty great. I really don't have anyone to blame but myself, though. If I had looked more carefully at my calendar, I could have planned better.

We had storms blow through our neighborhood at about 4:00 AM. The yard is covered with sticks that blew off of the trees, but fortunately, nothing big.

We got a nice Pate and some cheese for Happy Hour tonight, we may just call that dinner. We may open bottle of Austin Hope, which was a happy memory from our trip to Paso Robles in February.

QOTD: The same as Kelly, I think. Mid 70's, breezy, not humid. I probably think about overheating much more than I actually overheat these days.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Sausage

Dinner: Happy Hour

Have a great day, all!

Hey gang. I'm going out for some yard work before it gets too hot. I've got a few more plants to get in the ground. The local sports ball has a game at noon, and I might pop over to see some of that. Then back to the shop.

Doing things outdoors I like 68. I dislike the heavy humidity we get later in the summer. Sitting around the house I like more like 72.

Good Morning!

QJB, did you "out" Grim with your final sentence of your post this morning? LOL.

I had a good day all around yesterday. Nailed it with 155 minutes of focused exercise and 10,337 steps. Good food choices, lots of water. And a great 20 minute nap. Retirement does not suck

Today I need groceries. I've done 20 minutes of yoga and I need a good hard walk. I'm sore head to toe and currently am rocking the scent of tons of Voltaren gel to help combat the aches and pains. I've got chickpeas roasting in the oven for a different kind of snack and will do more prep of stuff after the grocery store. But I lots of leftovers that Rog and I need to eat through for lunches and breakfast the next couple of days. I love options.

QoTD: 78 and clear, please.

Bites today

B: Scrambled egg with some Al Pastor meat and a bit of Mexican cheese

L: baked chicken thigh w/broccoli and cauliflower drizzled with lemon tahini sauce

D: TBD! Trader Joe's trip will decide.

Peace Everybody.
