I wouldn't eat this cake after the race on Saturday because they use mayonnaise as the binder when they bake, so I'm nobody to judge your steak choices.

In my mind, I know that the cake doesn't actually taste like mayonnaise. But still no.

There's room for everyone at the table! Enjoy the seafood. I was hoping this was one of the steakhouses that does the gastric feat to eat the 5lb steak within 60mins and your meal is free.

I'm in the minority but I don't think portillos cakes are anything special. It's not because of the mayonnaise though. I think the Jewels(Safeway) bakery has better cake. Every Chicagoan would unite in astonishment of my portillos cake stance.

Good morning, everybody!

QJB, I'm with you on the extra day of weekend. it was a good one but too short. I'm already counting down the days to the Memorial Day weekend next week.

My race time was slow on Saturday. Just under 40 minutes. It was chip timed and somehow came in slower than the time on the clock at the finish line. Also, I'm not sure if four laps around this pond is really exactly 5k. Anyways, it was fun and they had some cute duck costumes.

I am signed up for a 5k/10k in two weeks and will have to determine which I'm going to do.

The cicadas have started to emerge. Lots of shells and a few bug sightings so far. They have not really started buzzing yet.

QOTD: I ordered vitamins from a large box store and they sent two packages by mistake. I think maybe they both drop shipped it from their vendor and shipped it from the store.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Dinner: Butter Chicken and Naan

Good morning gang. I had a really nice weekend. Food for two days was pizza. It wasn't a crazy amount, but certainly unexpected. I've gotten a lot done in the shop the past few days, after doing barely anything since last October. It felt good, but really wore out my legs.

It's supposed to be very summery this week, and I really need to get some plants in.

QOTD: A couple of time Amazon has sent me several of something, instead of just one. Instead of opening a box and sending me the one thing, they sent the whole box. Both times they didn't want any returned. Just a week ago I got a book from Amazon I hadn't ordered. JB said it wasn't her -- turned out it was her mom.

G'morning all!

Lazy weekend was just what the Dr ordered. I didn't do zilch and the weather cooperated by being cold, dreary and foggy. Even our usual moms' brunch got cancelled; nobody wanted to be out and about. So I read, watched TV and conducted life as if I were a slug.

QOTD: I had ordered a coatigan, it somehow got lost in the mail. Called the company and they sent me another. Two days later the lost coatigan showed up too. Gave it to a friend. We still laugh when we wear the coatigan. Another time order from Amazon was supposed to be here in 3-5 days and never arrived. Cancelled the order online and the item showed up about a month later. The Amazon thing has happened twice. I will no longer order stuff that gives you a later date than prime.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee & new flavor barebells
  • Posole soup
  • Spicy peanuts
  • Left over posole
  • E: lazy day

Good morning. Home from HIIT. Pooped. Slept weird on my hip and have been awake since three with the pain. I seriously almost cancelled class like 7 times. In the end I went knowing I could modify. I think I did really well overall. And my exercise ring is closed. Now I just have to work on steps and standing up.

I had such a nice weekend, no oopsies on food or wine. But also, no exercise and barely any steps yesterday. 3960. But I ended the week with just shy of 8 hours of focused, intentional exercise.

QoTD: A few times, yes. I call to tell them, but once they didn't believe me that they had delivered it to me and one time they told me to keep it. They were tops and dresses made for a clearly young, party girl.
