What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Five Guys will only cook burgers well done, but their well done is still juicy. Other resturants cook well done until it a hockey puck. I love In and Out but there are none around here.

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

It's Friday! Fingers guns to the sky. Pew Pew Pew Pew!!!

It's going to be a nice weekend. Tomorrow night is another trip to the orchestra for this season's finale. Sunday will be all about my mom. I'm going up to my mom's place with my sister and we're going to have lunch and relax outside for the afternoon. Other than that, I hope to take it easy and do work catch-up with things that fell by the wayside this week.

I had a new opportunity fall in my lap and need to explore the feasibility. I heard from someone trying to see if I was interested in renting one of his apartments. I didn't care for the apartments at all. After talking to him, I learned he has 8 buildings, 5+apts /property and is looking to have regular income without dealing with tenants. I told him that I can fill all his units for at least five weekends this summer, min 3 day stay, and will take care of everything including unit management during those times with a 50/50 split. I figure I can use air BNB or other avenues, easily have full occupancy every big music festival, and will be boots on ground for check in and check out day.

QOTD- 70/30 to 80/20 Brisket/bacon blend 6-10oz, salt pepper on a pretzel bun, medium rare. My most recent favorite burger was a Parisian Patty Melt - garlic toasted sea-salt ciabatta, brandied onions, forest mushrooms, provolone, French onion au jus.

L: A loaf of bread and a stick of butter. JK. Leftover pork roast shredded with thyme, grilled onions, and mushrooms. Side salad.

D: Happy hour bites. Either Mexican (Cochinita Pibil tacos) or a wine bar (cheese board.)

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mamas, Baby Mamas, and all the Mamas' Mamas.

When I wore it yesterday, one old buttface asked what type of blood do I have in me. I said blue and he looked at me like I was a blue alien.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

G'morning all!

JB - a year since you sprained that knee? Holy moly! Please get yourself to a doc asap.

We are planning a 4 days backpacking trip in June; that means 12 meals. In the past I figured I can do my protein bars and epic chickens but I don't think I can eat 12 meals of bars. So I was telling DH that all the REI freeze dried foods are full of carbs (pasta or rice). We went on a hunt and found a keto company that provides backpacking meals for people on keto diets. So last night I took full advantage of not liking to cook and we tried 3 of the packages that we had ordered to sample. They are not bad, high cals but low carb so I can have them while we are camping/hiking.

QOTD: I don't eat burgers at home. My order at in-n-out is protein style (no bun), half the sauce (they have a secret orange sauce), grilled onions, pickle, cheese (not picky what type of cheese), lettuce & tomatoes.

I consider myself a very lucky person having this beauty nearby, and being able to wog here 3 times a week.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Hb eggs w/tuna & edemame pouch
  • Jello, chicharrones w/tajin
  • Keto backpack food
  • E: 5.5 miles wog

Happy Fri-yay and happy mom's day to all the moms (fur babies count too) out there.

Is hiking something you and Keen did before you had kids? What a great activity to do with your husband. Ron won't even try to walk the dog with me.

DH being a CA boy has always done the hiking/backpacking trips. I didn't go much with him because I didn't like sleeping in the tent. He even did it with our kids, taking them on hikes and sleeping a couple of nights in the tent. The kids loved it. It's only after WLS that I got into it, it was like a second chance at life and adventure.
Ron has a bad back. I can't even imagine having chronic pain and trying to be active.

Good Morning Queen JB and Meneurs,

So cool that you got a Minor league team. Is it for the Redocks? We have a Frontier League in our area they been here I bet 15 or so years. We love to go. They do a lot of audience participation events, and it is so fun. I won a contest one time I had to go to the field and do something I don't remember exactly what. They also have an area you can rent with a hot tub for 10 along first baseline. They also had a women's event where we all got facials and pedicures during the game. So fun.

I am not excited for the weekend it is to be cold and rainy and I really wanted the pool open before I left. I will be organizing for my trip and going to happy hour Saturday afternoon. Not getting carried away for mother's day. She has been getting mean and angry because she can't smoke, I hate fighting this battle with her.

The team here is the New England Knockouts, also in the Frontier League. We're in the East division, and your team is in the west. I don't think they play each other during the season. Maybe if there are playoffs?
