I was so impressed that she was still taking airplanes at 101.

45 minutes sounds like a long enough time to put in at a boring event. Good luck getting out and getting home.

I agree with Mary - 45 minutes should be acceptable. Just say you have another commitment if anyone says anything, but it's likely they won't.

Good Morning on this fine Friday-Eve. How exciting to almost have the patio ready. I have a few meetings today and I'm sure I'll walk away from one with some decent work (a clean up of some accounting stuff) but I enjoy learning and improving processes so it's all fine with me.

Morning all and Happy Thursday,

It was not a good night. I woke up at 11:45p and my stomach, in proper English, said "Get thee to the bathroom at once." I didn't take a minute to steady myself and lost my balance in the kitchen. I grabbed for the fridge but just pushed it a few feet. I then reached for a side table as I was going down. Unfortunately, my hand went through the glass. I wasn't cut l, thank God. The glass completely shattered and I was on the floor covered with glass with no where to put my hands to get up. After a 30 second pause, I used my forearm to brush the glass aside, got up, and assessed my person. I pooped myself while all this was going on. Color me embarrassed and shameful. I cleaned up as best as I could and went back to sleep. Not my finest moment. I'm ok though and it could've been much worse. The only thing I hurt was my pride.

QOTD- My favorite weather app is the sun.

Seriously though, I use the weather channel app and pinpoint radar. I need to find a real time, constantly updating dopplar for my address. If there was bad enough weather, I used to confer with flight tracker to see if any planes were being rerouted on decent into O'Hare. This also was a trick for anticipating supply and demand for Uber airport pickups.

BTW- I drove for Uber and Lyft for a couple years around 2014, when they entered the Chicago market. At that point, Uber shared the profit with drivers and it was common to bring in $1k/6 hour shift with the right strategy. I was also a promotor for Uber and Lyft. I had street teams here and in Vegas. It was very good while it lasted. At that time, I was spending 30+ hours on the ride share stuff while being able to maintain my freelance consulting.

It seems like that was a lifetime ago.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: steak taco in a bowl, as well as avocado salsa with cucumber slices.

So glad you came out of that unscathed. My parents' bedroom door is next to the cellar door. In the middle of the night one time my dad picked the wrong door and landed at the bottom. It was super scary and your ordeal reminded me of how frightening that was.
