I had a great pair of Merrell hiking boots that I adored from when I was 300+. They were so comfortable but they are way too big now. I may get a new pair if my hiking gets more adventurous. Lately it's just been easy trails.

My shoe size stayed the same but the stretched-out shoes from my fat feet did not fit any longer.

Mornin y'all.

quick post for me as I have a dentist appointment this morning. Still feeling icky. My mouth is very sore with the thrush stuff. I also have a few bone fragments that need to be fished out this morning, I tried but will leave it to the dentist. I have to have my new upper adjusted too. I am not happy with the denture to be honest. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix.

QOTD: none here.

hopefully I'll be able to chew some food today!

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday,

I woke up in the middle of the night, turned over and saw the clock read 3am. It made me think of the Simon and Garfunkel song, "Wednesday Morning, 3am." I seemed to remember it was their hit before the first real hit so I looked it up. Story: https://wqhs.upenn.edu/the-reworking-of-wednesday-morning-3- a-m-a-forgotten-mistake/

Good morning, everybody!

The weather yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. Warm, but not hot, a slight fresh breeze, and a bright sky. Just a wonderful day. The trees must have thought so also, because I looked out my second floor bedroom window and saw nothing but green fluffy leaves.

Have people put their annuals in? We usually buy our flower baskets and bed cover around Mother's Day, but we will be away next weekend - wondering whether to do it this week or wait until the 18th?

Today is a pretty normal Wednesday: work from home, Crossfit and Happy Hour tonight. 6 workdays until vacation.

QOTD: No. When I got my running shoes on Saturday they scanned my feet and said I was very average.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Cheeseburger

Dinner: Torte (I always get Torte and Torte confused)

Have a great day, all!

Mornin' All!

I took a good long bike ride yesterday afternoon - it was a terrific day to be outside! Wind speed is too high for biking this morning, but OK by 3:00 pm - but I may do something else early in the day since I don't always trust myself to exercise later in the afternoon. I'm more likely to go through with it if I do it early. So---probably walking. That way I can look at some more examples of garage doors, too (if I walk in a neighborhood), since I need to decide between two configurations before ordering ours.

My weight is up a lb this morning - couldn't figure that one out at all since eating has been really good for several days. So I checked my MyFitnessPal entries for the last few days - fiber intake was around 35 grams every day - so that might explain it (and explain my bloating this morning, too). I'll try to lay off it today and hopefully this will take care of itself within a day or two. Whew.

QOTD: no - no arches

coffee with half & half

may just have a protein shake and then head out for a walk. Not hungry AT ALL

skyr with fruit

Cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with strawberry compote

hummus with baby carrots

not sure about dinner. Maybe a salad with some salmon chunks that our elderly cat hasn't eaten by the end of the day (although he's been eating it like crazy - so glad to see that!!)

have a great day, everyone!
