"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Sorry, that's the only sound that is escaping me after 24 hours without coffee. My GERD is still churning, so I have a burning in my chest, a sore throat from reflux, and the world's worst headache. To add to the joy, yesterday my right eye would not stop twitching. I literally went to bed at 7:30pm and took a sleeping pill to end the misery.

But on the plus side, today is a 1/2 day for me. I am working from home this morning, then Grim and I are heading up to Maine. We're spending the night tonight, taking a class together tomorrow, then heading home afterwards because I am teaching on Sunday. It should be a fun little getaway :)

QOTD: Favorite state in the U.S.? I love MA and wouldn't want to love anywhere else. But Maine is my close second. Maine is almost like 2 different states though--there is the coastal part of the state along the ocean that is all fudge shops and ice cream, and then the upper middle of the state that is close to Canada and completely desolate. No fudge anywhere. Guess which part I like?

Food is up in the air because we will be on the road for lunch and dinner. But I have one more shrimp spring roll to finish before we leave so that will be breakfast!

Eeeek! GERD does not sound fun and then later on a headache and eye twitch and *** ity *** I'm so sorry! I hope all of your symptoms resolve so you can enjoy your getaway - it's well-deserved! I love how you and Grim take classes and workshops together. It's quite adorable. Well, I'll reserve that thought to see if he makes it through the weekend alive hahahaha.
You made me fall in love with Maine! Traveling there with you two and Jen was soooo fun. I only know the fudge and clam shack and lobster part of Maine and that's an amazing part of Maine for sure! Hmmm my favorite state - am I disqualified if I say where I live, Washington DC? I know it's not a state it's a "district" but can it count? It's such a wonderful and beautiful city full of history and museums and amazing and diverse people and food. It never gets old.

Today is spa day at Balian Spa. Check out there website, it looks amazing! And a birthday dinner for the friend we are celebrating at Ellie Bird in Falls Church VA that also looks amazing. So, overall it's going to be a great day. I have no clue about food other than I'll scrounge up breakfast, probably won't eat lunch, and dinner will be scrumptious.
Have a safe drive and wonderful day!!!

Balian Springs looks amazing, I love a place with all the hydrotherapy options! I would probably make a meal out of the asparagus and gooseberries and then then gnocchi, and hope someone got the cheesecake sundae and would share some bites! Have a fun celebration day.

My family lived in Falls Church before I was born. My older sibs were very little and used to recite the address in sing-song pronouncing Virginia as Ga-ginga. We moved back for 5 years when I was little and we all pronounced it that way - still do and I totally read your post like that in my head!!

Enjoy your spa day - sounds amazing!!

Morning gang! Road trip today! JB's favorite clam shack won't be open yet though. It's still winter up north. But it will be nice to get away.

QOTD: Maine! My favorite is the midcoast area, but Portland is great. But up north, and inland, is still mostly unpopulated, and most of the roads are logging roads owned by lumber and paper mills. Bring your own supplies, because you won't find a restaurant.

Can anyone find the cat? I zoomed in a little to help. I walked in and out of the room 4 times before I noticed him.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
