We don't have a lot of bridges here in my area but I strongly liked them when I do visit them. What you describe is scary though. That would be a pass from me.

It's so sad. I drive over that bridge every week to do kid pickup. And traffic is horrendous here already. Now, everyone will be routed to the two lane each way, narrow tunnel on 895. It's going to be a nightmare. I feel SO bad for people who need that bridge to get to work or school every day. It's going to impact them so much. My FIL hates that bridge too, and I'm sure he feels very vindicated now!

Good morning, everybody!

We watched the Iowa women's game last night. For a bit, it looked like WVU would upset them. I don't think that Iowa can win the championship, but it will be good to see Caitlin Clark play a few more games, she's an amazing player. I don't know if the women's tournament has always been scheduled Friday through Monday, but I like having the staggered schedule with the men's tournament - there are games on every night except Tuesday and Wednesday as we work through these first weeks of fake spring.

I signed up for a Superhero fun run on April 6th. It's only a 3K. But with the weather getting warmer, I need to start training for the Chicago Sprint Triathlon on August 25th. It seems like a good kick-off to start the Triathlon training. Hopefully, people will be all dressed up in there superhero costumes to provide a distraction from the running. I won't go full outfit, but I do have a Hulk T-shirt that I will wear.

QOTD: It's the best hour of my day.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Lasagna

Dinner: Steak

Have a great day, all!

I'm adding your QoTD response to my repertoire. That's a great attitude. I always feel that way AFTER the workout, and what a good mental update to plan for it to be the best hour before I get out there. Love it.

Good Morning Queen JB and Meneurs,

Well since I live in a city of bridges that news is very disturbing to me. This happened to a bridge here in Pittsburg a little over a year ago, but this seems much more horrific. Not to mention I am afraid of bridges. Not going over them. I have driven the Bay bridge right near there heading to Ocean City no problem. I am afraid going under bridges. We used to hang out in a boat near where the 3 rivers meet in Pittsburgh but when we had to go under bridges it scared the **** out of me. I am always afraid something is going to fall like rocks or something.

Mom's appointment went well. She goes back in 4 weeks, and they should put her in a walking boot at that time. We are hoping she will be able to come home. I also got a text from my friends about Easter dinner. I was going to skip making ravioli and just pull out a small lasagna I have in the freezer but ravioli making is back on the schedule. I am hoping to get them done tonight. Anything to see the kids is ok in my book.

QOTD: I either got it or I don't it is hard to motivate me, but I got a cousin who keeps me accountable at the gym. If she sees I have not been in a while she checks in and gets me back, there. She's a good egg.

Accountability: I did ok. I had an extra piece of turkey lunch meat and I wrapped it around brick cheese.
