OH poofed my response so here I go again.

Hate it that you have to fight for the minimum at the nursing home. Your mom is lucky to have you to fight and advocate for her.

Rudy might have a sprained ankle. Luna suffers from it too. Our ortho said to keep her from walking for about 10 days. They are dogs and don't realize they need to stay off their feet and the more they walk the worse it gets. We also have some anti inflammatory meds. I hope Rudy's case is as simple as Luna's. She was back to her normal self after the no walk period.

Mornin' All!

it'll be in the 60s again today and the wind speed is predicted to be only c. 8 mph, so I'll be getting out on my bike! In other news, I finished my state income tax returns yesterday and made some headway on my classes (I'd gotten behind because of how busy we've been the last few weeks), so I'm feeling a lot less stressed today. Well, not stressed at all, really. I'm contemplating taking a quick international trip this summer - maybe for a week or so - which will work if it's a one-city deal. In some ways I want to wait since I've got an almost-90-year-old mother and a 19-year-old cat - plus I need the downtime after this very intense two-month period of dealing with MIL's death and the aftermath, but then again, I'm not getting any younger, and my mom and the cat could live another year or two (or maybe even longer for my mother), so...??

QOTD: I've actually never looked at TikTok at all, so to me at least, it doesn't matter one way or the other.

coffee/chickory blend (thanks to the mom of the cat I was cat sitting for (they were in New Orleans) with half & half

plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote

thin slice of Danish rye bread with butter and lingonberry preserve

tuna salad on a multigrain Wasa cracker

1/2 c of chocolate "mousse" with SF Cool Whip and raspberries

asparagus soup and some kind of protein for dinner

G'morning all!

QJB-Nothing better than being out and about in the corp world to get the motivation going. And I bet the walk you do from your stop to your work will help too. And from personal experience the fact that you are not home and near the fridge/pantry is a big plus.

I had a huge IT problem yesterday that took most of my day. Nothing much got done except being on the phone either one person or another and being tossed from one dept to another. The issue was resolved but man the headache.

If work IT problem wasn't enough my Garmin and MFP are not liking each other. Has anybody had this issue? Usually Garmin knows how many cals I ate because it reads it from MFP. And MFP knows the workout cals from Garmin. I noticed on Sun Garmin thought I was 800 cals in the red while that info wasn't on MFP, or on Mon according to Garmin I barely ate while all the info is in MFP. I tried disconnecting the two from each other and reconnecting, rebooting both but those two days is like Garmin has taken this info from somebody else and is not giving it up. No big deal in the big pic but it irritates me that I'm 800 cals in the red on Sun.

QOTD: I go on TikTok on my lunch break and enjoy it thoroughly. The Congress people who want to ban TikTok don't understand anything from technology and are fear mongers. I would be very sad if it gets banned, but something else will pop up.

  • TJ kebab & fage yogurt
  • Lily's chocolate covered almonds (handful), golden berries
  • Innards of street tacos
  • E: strength training

I don't use either of those but I share your frustration when my trackers don't track. They have one job.

Good morning and Happy everybody's humpin' around day,

My apartment quest goes on. I'm pretty tired of it, tbh, and it's only the second week. I was ready to sign for the perfect apt yesterday but looked into the management company. They shouldn't even be allowed to operate. F rating on BBB. 1.6 Google rating with all the highlights - bed bugs, safety issues, plumbing and heating issues. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

QOTD-It won't affect me if Tik Tok gets banned. I rarely go on there and it's always for a recommended video.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Steak and eggs.

D: Steak and mushrooms, salad.

Can you tell that I bought a nice porterhouse steak and need to eat it for every meal until it's gone?

QOTD- Everybody has our personal information, I honestly don't see how TikTok could be any worse. The state of Oregon DMV was hacked so all of my info is out there. Which is the reason why all of my credit is frozen. I never watch TikTok and only just got back on Facebook so I'm trying to limit my exposure. I even dumped a slots game, mostly because when I got a new phone they wouldn't give me my $ and levels. Actually I spend much less time using my phone and it is freeing.

Long winded answer to the QOTD. I didn't go for a walk yesterday but did get some cleaning in my garage done, and mounted a smoke alarm. Not really cardio but at least I wasn't sitting in my recliner watching TV for a little while.

I had a nice piece of salmon and a small baked red potato for dinner last night, and I ended up vomiting it up almost immediately. Not sure what that was about. It just didn't taste right, but then nothing seems to appeal to me lately.

I need to get to work, everyone have a great day!
