National Geographic Magazine had a fascinating article on the rebuilding of Notre Dame a couple years ago. I wish I still had it to forward to you. It talked about how the original was built and how they were trying to replicate those methods and find or create materials that matched. It had amazing photos and then in 2022 I got to go to Paris and walk around the exterior fencing around Notre Dame and I could see some of the efforts I had read about. I wish I still had that magazine to forward to you in. It was so good.
Thanks. It really is interesting.

Good mornin y'all.
Not totally sure what we're doing today. I am beat and sore as hell. I've either done something to my shoulders or it's the usual thing amplified. Who the heck knows. What little I slept was complete garbage. We'll probably go to Sam's and a local grocery store. My niece, Riley, has a thing tonight I'm not sure I'll be able to make. I'd have to sit on bleachers for over an hour and I don't think I can. I did 40 minutes yesterday and lord did it hurt.
My A1c went down from 7.6% to 7.1%. So yay! Still need to work on it. I've been doing rather poorly with food. I need to find another psychologist...it's time. I've got to work on this and hard. My weight is partially up due to insulin but it's also up due to eating choices. Really ashamed of myself tbh. Need to shake it off and go to work. I'm going to work on a menu today to get me back on track.
QOTD: I thrive on chaos it seems. No organization besides being divided by purpose. ****s and some pants hung up and just thrown in the closet and everything else goes in my dresser.
breakfast was oatmeal(half a serving) and unfortunately an apple fritter.
lunch will be a salad with 2 ozs of chicken
Dinner might be an egg roll or shrimp roll in the air fryer

Good morning ~ Sounds like a lovely work day to me! Yesterday was a busy blur and turns out I'm not the multitasker I though I was. I was stressed while on an important meeting all day and doing all the office things - barley comprehending. This meeting was a bigger deal than most so I will have to watch the recording of the day or at least certain segments and focus. This is partially why I prefer in person meetings - no distractions. It's a pain traveling for a one day meeting, but the networking is great and this group is amazing. They said this is the last year of virtual - good. I was over tired and I went to bed at 6:30 last night. I have an easy calendar today so hopefully I'll be back to square by the end of the day.
QOTD - I have a tiny closet with a few drawers and shelves, an armoire full of sweaters and overspill in the office closet, hall closet and an old dresser in the garage. I'm all over the house! I hang all work clothes and things that wrinkle then fold the rest. I would love a walk in closet that was all organized with a place for everything.
Accountability - great - which is why I don't love 185.6 today. I will not obsess, body fluctuations are not fat gains.
b- coffee x 4, yogurt with protein granola

Wheat, I understand. Rye, I get. But I can't comprehend barley, at all.

I would agree, barley is quite complicated.

Don't get me started on oats.
Crap. Now I'm singing Raffi in my head. "Oats and beans and barley grow, oats and beans and barley grow . . . "
