Good morning. It's chilly and clear, but rain is coming. I had a very productive day yesterday and got lots more done on the to do list. More of that today. Plus I really need to dig into Harlem Shuffle for my book club. Maybe hit up the grocery store for wonton wrappers. Egg rolls in a bowl our on the menu this week and I woke up thinking I could air fry some wrappers for crunch and Mr. Google says I can indeed.

QoTD: I've had many a perfect spot to visit in my life and many more ahead I hope and pray. But from my available data set I'm going with Montepulciano, Italy. I'll meet any one there for a caffe on the bench in front of the Duomo. Any takers?

Foods today. I have so many leftovers that are great that I am forcing myself to eat them in the order the were created.

B: 2 pc bacon, 1 egg, maybe some fig jam on a piece of protein bread

L: more chicken and goat cheese and honey with chickpeas.

D: Thai peanut satay with chicken and noodles and crunchy peanuts on top

S: greek yogurt with low cal jello choclolate pudding mix stirred in. Still loving this option and it turns out to be about 100 calories less than my normal go to afternoon snack.

Peace everybody.

I would join you, but it's so close to home that it doesn't seem like a fantasy place for me. But you had me at caffè.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

I am so happy that things are going so well for you. You deserve all the good.

Awe Geez is it really only Wednesday? I am so tired. The weekend cannot come quick enough. Tomorrow is mom's surgery. They scheduled it for 1:30 so I think I'll come to work till noon then run down. I am only 20 minutes away if traffic is clear so I can get my orders in before I head down. She is still in good spirits and doing very well. Did I tell you I gave her candy bars and Reese's Peanut butter Eggs? Yes, she passes them out to her care takers. It is my strategy for them to remember her and to shmoos for some extra attention. It does work. They have been super attentive.

I will remember that next time I get stuck in a hospital. I always find the staff wonderful but would like to give them a small reward. Hope surgery goes smoothly. Take care of yourself and try to get some rest.

Mornin' All!

nuttin' on the agenda today other than baking some bread, making some asparagus soup, and going over to my neighbor's to feed Buddy the cat. I should probably do some reading for classes, too. Or start digging out this house. We have several boxes of stuff from MIL's apt that we eventually have to figure out what to do with.

QOTD: Lisa's post reminded me of the fabulous place we stayed at a couple of years ago on the Amalfi Coast. A beautiful apartment with an enormous balcony that overlooked the sea. It was sunny and beautiful every day we were there, and I think of it often. So I'd go there (or Sicily - I've been admiring the photos of Sicily that one of my friends has been posting on Facebook all week).

B: coffee with half & half, Ratio yogurt with two tablespoons of granola

MS: probably a protein shake

L: bagged salad with some kind of protein (cheese stick, maybe)

AS: ?? probably more yogurt with some tahini mixed in - that or a small handful of pistachios

D: I have no idea - well, asparagus soup if I end up making that - and maybe half a veggie burger??

ex: I was thinking it'd be too cold for biking today, but it'll be in the low 50s with no wind, so it should be OK. Otherwise, walking

Here is a picture of Buddy the cat, whom I'm babysitting for this week. I love him!
