I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, Chrissy. That was what happened to my Grammy when my aunt realized she needed to put her in assisted living. She fell and she actually reached a phone but she was so confused she kept saying "I'm hurt, come to Pattys house". It didn't know the address. She was on the ground for hours. It's such a scary thing to go through. Your mom is so fortunate to have you to manage her care and help her. I know she appreciates it!

I forgot to comment on you and Grim. I do remember when you guys met - or within a month or so AFTER you met, anyway. I was kind of wondering if maybe something was going on, but then I read that either you'd introduced him to your parents, or he introduced you to his brother (can't remember which), and then I thought..."yep!". And then you eventually mentioned something here on OH.

I remember when you met but was not sure if you two were serious until you made it clear. So happy it has worked out so well.

Just popping in for the QOTD: MARVEL all the way!!! Yes I have seen every single movie, some more than once. Some of the movies are amazing and other I question who the hell wrote it.

Unless you want to see Chris Hemsworth naked I can say don't bother with Thor: Love and Thunder. It took me 5 times to actually watch the entire movie.

Hi all,

Been MIA for a few days...took a little bit of a tech break, and then Saturday hubby ended up in the hospital :( he's doing much better and should be home later this week, but the hospital is almost a hour away and I refuse to miss even a minute of visiting hours.

I'm 12 days post surgery. Worked for a couple hours today but all I accomplished was wading through my emails :) might do another couple hours when I get back from visiting hubby, but the hospital is almost an hour from here if there's no traffic (which if you've been to Portland lately you'll know is not likely in the later afternoon). And yes we have closer hospitals lol...but given the choice of a close but horrible out-of-network hospital and a far but in-network, top 1% in the country hospital, I want my beloved pirate at the latter!

QOTD: the running joke around here is that if a movie is referenced in a conversation 99/100 times I haven't seen it :) about the closest I get is Star Trek, does that count?

  • Protein shake
  • Herbal tea
  • Greek yogurt
  • Gatorade zero (purple obviously since it's the best one)
  • Panera butternut squash soup
  • Probably more herbal tea

Goals: 48-64 total ounces, 400-600 calories, 60-75 grams of protein

Happy meet a verse to the happy couples. Amazing that you met on this board! A built in support person. QJB I am happy to hear that you finally got that work life balance so work doesn't overtake your life and happiness.

I had a pretty quiet weekend. I took DD to old navy to spend some super ca**** usually doesn't work out for me but I actually got $70 off the subtotal this time. Today I had a followup appt with the physiatrist he was pleased with the function returning to my feet and nerves. He is ordering some PT since I do have some balance issues when doing yoga. But the strength is coming back. He said it can take up to a year to get full function back from the foot drop. Then labs. My potassium has been low. I am now at the low normal but will increase my potassium since it seems I am not absorbing it to well.

QOTD: Dead Pool he is funny. Not really into the whole super hero thing though. It seems like the first movie good not over the top. Then they go down from there.

have a great week.
