Good Morning and Happy Leap Year!

I had another fantastic day at work. Everyone is so nice and so smart :) Yesterday I actually got to dig in on a few actual projects and work with our attorneys on some things between many 1:1 meetings. Today I'll be working from home, but have lots of meetings via zoom for most of the day.

We watched a funny episode of 30 Rock last night where they pretend there was a classic movie called Leap Year William about a regular guy (Jim Carey) who transforms into Leap Year William every four years (sort of like The Santa Clause) and inspires people to take risks and do things they would only do because there is an extra day on the calendar. With that in mind... QOTD: What is something new you want to try today! Selfishly, I am really hoping that Grim says he wants to try sushi, haha. But for me, I am going to try to ramp up the exercise since my knee is still behaving. So today I will either try the rower for the first time in 6 months or maybe mix up my walk with a run?

Accountability: Great. I got over 16K steps just from a normal day of walking to and from the train and around campus and I didn't snack at all.

Good morning all. Things here are settling into what's likely a new routine. It should be a quiet day, but it's too cold to do anything outside. Then we've got a very warm stretch next week. So I'm declaring the end of winter.

QOTD: I can't think of anything new to try. I still have a long list of old things I haven't gotten to!

March is our snowiest month, with April being 2nd....I think they say the last week of March and the first week of April but we will definitely have stretches of spring throughout the month too!

February is usually our snowiest. We definitely get snow in March, but it disappears pretty fast.

Good morning and happy Thursday! Getting closer to the end of the week. Good for you on the steps and the moving to increase deliberate exercise. My trainer always says "motion is lotion" which I take to mean the more movement you do, the more you can do (excluding when you are dealing with injuries/issues that you have to take care of, of course!).

QOTD - hmmm, I'm going to have to go with trying a new restaurant tonight because otherwise, I have nothing for this one for today.

An elliptical session as soon as I finish this cup of coffee, 6:30 to 3 meetings and then I'm meeting some friends to see Dune and then dinner after. I had to get tickets as early as possible in case someone spoils the movie for me. The movie based on the book I've read at least 20 times and seen all the iterations of. But people do just announce key plot points or scenes so it's self defense really.

menu

coffee plus half and half X 3

yogurt

jalapeno cheddar sausage

dinner tbd depending on where we end up

Have a fantastic day everyone!

Are you expecting something new in the plot? I'd think you could have written the screenplay.

You never know! Movies can be very divergent from the books! Although in this case, the director is such a fan that would shock me. In this case, I'm more thinking of how some things could be portrayed and would rather see for my self then to come to a non-movie-topic website and have someone announce it. I am looking forward to seeing the second half and very hopeful it's good and that he gets to make Dune Messiah as well.

Not exactly, this is part 2 of the first book not the second in the book series. It's very confusing!

Mornin y'all!

can't believe it is 32° and here in 30 minutes it's going to snow. I won't complain a bit about it other than to say I wi**** was further north already to help with these fires. I'm assuming that this big one will surpass the biggest fire in state history today. The biggest before was just east of here and burned nearly a million acres. Smokehouse Creek is already at 850,000 as of yesterday and 3% contained. This terrain is incredibly rough. They are saying over 200 homes burned so far, they don't have exact numbers yet. More than likely it'll exceed 300. Well over a million head of cattle killed. It's going to devastate this area.

Today we're going out with my aunt to the thrift stores. Then out to eat. Then I need to clean the house up a bit as I won't be able to do much Saturday. My ablation is tomorrow and I have to fast 8 hours. My appointment is at 3:00. Going to be a long grumpy day lol

QOTD: hmmm I have no idea on this one. Maybe try a new dish at the Thai place?

B: eggs, cheese, cilantro lime sauce and coffee x 2

L: thai

D: maybe leftovers.

have a good one!

Mel
