Happy to hear that!! The first month is the hardest - it gets easier and so much better. You have so much to look forward to and I wish you the best!

I've had 2 surgeries - my original RYN in 2016 and a Revision a year ago - very different experiences. After the first surgery, I was wide awake excited, up and around immediately but was in a lot of pain so happy to stay overnight. The second surgery was less painful but I was unbelievably exhausted. I was fine, but I slept so hard the entire stay. Not alert or up and about much at all. They had to pry me out of bed to go home! It was a long time before my energy came back - maybe months.

Good afternoon JB and Menu Folks. Thank you all for the support. Dad was severely dehydrated, combined with the added meds seems to have been the cause of his confusion. He was saying some crazy stuff. I was scared, my dads Mom had Alzheimers and it brough back some sad memories. I am happy to report that he is doing well. He is alert, feels like his head is clear, color is back and his personality is back. He has started PT at the VA until we can figure out where he will go to Rehab. Hoping that the VA short term facility has a bed open.

I am still doing well and have zero interest in food at this point.

Stay Healthy my friends, Mike

It's good that they got him feeling better. Dehydration is so scary for everyone but especially for the aged/infirm! It must be a huge relief for the family that his personality is back!
