That is all such great news. Three good things all in one day. I hope the ablation really helps with your pain.

Lots of good news for you! Do research the company that cold called you. There are legit investors but there are also scammers so being careful is good.

Good morning JB and menu friends. I had a really rough week last week, previous week I had covid, last week started and my butt was dragging, by the end of the week I was feeling really bad, sinus infection, fever, chills, quiet weekend. Chloe got into SF cough drops at the end of last week and had some explosive bouts of diarhea, we spoke with the vet , sent the ingredients list and had to let it run its course, she seems to be enjoying her new diet f chicken and rice.

Really need some positive vibes for my dad, things are not going well at rehab. He is having extreme bouts of confusion, they are not giving his parkinsons meds on time, ( he has had success for many years following his regimen to a T) and he is still weak. They are saying 4 weeks now, instead of 2. I may move our trip up if possible. Joddie feels the issue is called sundowning and is common with the elderly in these settings. It is very hard on my Mom. Ryley is in Florida and this is very hard on him right now as well. We need to get him to the point to get out of there, even if it means home health aids, his mental health is suffering since he has been there.

I did hit goal of 195lbs, but not surprising after the weekend I had with zero interest in food.

QOTD - I really like my DR office, they respond to my patient portal requests within 2 hours and are very accomodating.

B - Berries and yogurt

L - Cabbage roll

AS- Cheese stick and salami stick

D - Homemade Lasagna

Stay Healthy my friends, Mike

sundowning can happen with patients with various forms of dementia - I'm not sure if it'd go away if he was at home, but then who knows. It might - although again, it's a not-all-that-uncommon "side effect" of dementia. Although he'd likely be happier at home as long as there are people there who can take care of him. At some point, it's really hard to do that and you don't have a lot of options - but he may still be OK to live at home at this point. I'm just saying this because we went through all this with my dad. When it gets to the point that they're bed-bound and have to be turned every few hours to keep bed sores from forming - and/or if people aren't willing to deal with incontinence (also a common issue), it kind of limits your options.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this and I know how hard it is. It's very sad. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I hope you'll be able to move him back home and that his mental state improves because of it.

EDITED to add that I just re-read your post. You said the rehab place isn't giving him his meds on time- that may be part of it, too. Maybe he'd improve if he was back on a regular dosing schedule. This unfortunately seems to be kind of common in these settings. We had that issue when my mother-in-law was in rehab places. DH often went there to make sure they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. I think part of the problem is that a lot of those places are really understaffed - which is awful for the patients.

So sorry to hear of the struggle your dad is having. When my grandpa was in uncommon surroundings it made him more confused. And especially at night. They do better with a fairly firm regimen or at least regular things. I hope they can get it figured out and he can go home sooner than later.

my grandpa had dementia but the sundowner stuff is real regardless of that. I really pray it gets figured out and the facility listens to y'all's concerns.
