What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Old story but back in 1980's on the day after Thanksgiving I got a call that my aunt had died and I ran over there and left the remainder of a 20-pound turkey on the table where we had been having lunch. My husband was still eating so I expected he would put everything away. A few hours later I came home to find the cat on the table stuffing herself on the turkey.
I had my husband come into the kitchen. He high-fived the cat and said he was so happy not to be facing a week of meals from that leftover turkey.

G'morning all!
This dang site is so slow loading that it has taken me all morning to get on. I've been trying since 6:30 am my time and now it's about 8:40 and finally was able to see QJB's post and QOTD! If I'm not reacting to any post please forgive me, it's hard to even like the posts to acknowledge I am reading them.
I am prepping for my kids coming home this weekend for the long weekend. DD is bringing her cat with her; I'm severely allergic to cats, think swollen eyes, nose running, and if I touch the cat and touch any part of my skin I breakout in hives. But did I tell my daughter not to bring the cat? Of course not, I wanna see her and willing to pay any price for that. She knows I'm allergic and thinks she has a solution by bringing some sort of dander cleaner and asking me to take Zyrtec. OK we shall see. This weekend is also DS's bday, so we got him few presents and DH got both of them tix to the dead concert at the sphere in June. I'm just happy the kids will be home even if I will be unrecognizable or can't see with my eyes swollen.
QOD: I always thought V day is only for couples, at least that's how it was back home. So I was very surprised when my kids started school and we had to prepare v day stuff for the whole class. Very strange for me. My most memorable one, keep in mind distances in Europe are much shorter than here in US, my bf at the time took me to MonteCarlo for dinner. It's about a 4 hr drive each way but when you are young and fancy free you do that kind of stuff. He drove like a typical Italian mad man and I think it took us about 3 hours to get to the restaurant. I have no recollection of what we ate because I was on cloud 9 just for the trip. We walked around town after dinner for a while, and then jumped back in the car and drove back to be home by my 2:00 am curfew that was extended due to V day. My regular curfew was midnight.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Scrambled eggs with shredded cheese
- Jello, iced protein coffee
- Shrimp stir fry
- E: modified weight session
Happy taco tue!

There have been a few articles here lately that say some places in Italy are dropping the speed limit to 30 kph (20 mph). People don't seem very happy about it.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
In town I can see that. Out of town no way.
Our freeway speeds vary (90-130kph) depending on which kind of highway you are on. But even there we push the limits.
Did you know that they time you from toll booth to toll booth? If you reach the next one ahead of time they fine you. So we (ingenious Italians) have come up with two solutions.
1) you drive fast, but stop at a gas station for coffee right before the next booth. Our gas stations are delux in comparison to US gas stations.
2) if they take pictures of you speeding you see people at gas stations hair spraying their license plates. The license plate pic doesn't come through when sprayed on.

Hi everyone!
My surgery is scheduled for a week from tomorrow, so not a very exciting menu over here ? thought I'd have a protein shake, followed by several more. Woo!
QOTD: my high school boyfriend was in a culinary arts program. He brought me huge chocolate covered strawberries at a 6am drill team practice for Valentine's Day ? The boyfriend ended up being a little bit of a louse, but it was a super sweet gesture and my high school friends still bring it up now and again 34 years later ???
