I made the mistake of asking if it was a Star Wars reference. It was not, and I have been appropriately put in my place.

Good morning ~ Yay for Truck day festivities, how fun! RIP Glitter lady. Eye doc yesterday - my eyes are healthy and I had the same exact prescription, 3rd time in a row and the one before that was negligibly different. So I don't need new glasses. I tried on every thing. I cannot pull off that clear frame look, it totally washes me out. My glasses are more a part of my face than an accessory so I need to see them. I didn't find anything I liked at my little Dr's office so I may check out Costco because I have to see what they look like on my face before I'll buy. She referred me for eye hood surgery consultation?! Do I even? My mom's hoods were pretty bad and she never took care of them. I will, I just didn't think it was time yet so that surprised me. I also found out that my older brother had a retinal detachment in one eye and is having surgery today. Lots of eye stuff. Work will be busy again, plugging away. Lunch with the kids, they are treating me to taco Tuesday at our favorite place. I am having my favorite fried beef taco - just one, they can take the rest. Have I mentioned how much I love his girlfriend?

QOTD - I appreciate all styles, but my favorite is Impressionism. I'm drawn and understand. It's also how I would like to paint.

Accountability - great, 184.6!! I've done 10 minutes of stretching today, more later and under the desk elliptical throughout the day. This is really racking up my daily minutes.

All the online Eye places have it, so you upload a photo for try on. Then you can screen shot them and go back and check them all out and narrow it down. I have had great success with Eyebuy Direct and Payne glass. Their return policies are great, and returns have been very easy. I usually get 4 pair at a time and never had a problem with a return. Eye buy direct is always less than 10-day turnaround I have gotten them as quick as 4 days.

I will check them out - thanks. How complicated is your prescription? I have progressives and they are expensive at my Dr's office. I know they are cheaper online but I'm curious about the cost for progressives.

I got my progressives through Zenni online and I think the most I paid was $50 for $10 frames with prescription and fingerprint protection! Loved them!

I've gotten progressives through eyebuydirect. They're fine. I just bought four more pairs of glasses from them last month because they had a buy one/get one half off sale. They're cheap enough (I paid about $40 a pair) that I can buy several and change them around. I've never used Zenni, but a lot of people like them, too.

First - you are killing it. I am soooo proud of you!

Second - DH has those progressive glasses and he got them at Costco. The good thing, for him, was that Costco takes back your frames and makes all the changes you want at no extra cost. Not so good for Costco because DH went back so many times and ended up with 6-7 pairs of glasses. I'm sure they cringed every time they saw him coming.

Thank you Good to know about Costco. I really want to try them on and if I like them half blind, I take a picture so I can see it with my glasses on! It's quite a funny looking thing I do, I'm sure. I also care about the fit since I've had some very cute glasses in the past that did not fit well.
