I have not done it but living in AZ I know plenty of people that were excited to get tickets even if they were in like stupid hot months! I let them show me their pictures when they came back.

I got in for June. Hope it's not too hot.
DH is still tentative but I got a campsite for two.

How exciting! It will be 100+ but it really is a dry heat and June is 10,000 times better than July and 20,000 times better than August. August is 110+ but with humidity!

The site says high of 70s but who knows. And as you say better than July or Aug. I could have gotten one in May but for sure DH couldn't go. They even got a stern email that nobody should schedule any time away till Aug. I asked him so they expect you to be working 24/7 till August? He looked at me sheepishly and said some people yeah. Are you one of those some people? Maybe! So much for unlimited PTO!

That's at the bottom! Are you going to tent camp or stay at the lodge? I don't tent camp but I might consider it there, lol

Tent camping, baby!!
I thought staying at the lodge would take away from the experience. They also have mules to take your packs but I think I can handle my backpack by myself.

It's such a beautiful place. I had seen the place posted on a hiking acct on IG. So I had a reminder on my calendar when reservations open up for this year. I don't usually like to tent camp, but I think this one is worth it.
