Good morning JB and menu friends. Congrats on the job front and the new Mattress. We need to rotate ours and I have been throwing hints that we need a new one.

Miss Chloe was not herself last night and began throwing up about 4:30 this morning, she sleeps with us ( yes we are those dog parents), so we woke in a hurry. I took her out and then we went back to bed. She did not eat much of her kibble this morning and was quiet. Our oldest works from home so that is a comfort.

Nothing gets you out of bed faster than hearing your dog hacking, especially when the dog sleeps in your bed. We are those dog parents too. Hope she is OK. When it happens to our dog for a couple of meals we give her just white rice.

Mornin' All!

DH is working in his office today (his job has been hybrid since the worst of COVID was over), so I'll do some other things since I don't like being at MIL's apt by myself. We'll go over there this evening for an hour or two since a lot of what's left to do is schlepping big plastic bins full of stuff to either our house or the two thrift shops we've been donating her stuff to. I lined up a mover to move some of her furniture to our basement family room in mid-February. I'm hoping having nice furniture down there plus a big TV will prompt us to use it more, since for the last few years, it's basically just been a big storage room since we use the upstairs family room (added to the house before we moved in). One of these days I'm going to "deal" with that room - there's so much stuff in there that can probably go.

I need to go grocery shopping today, go to the bank to put her car title (now our car title) in the safe deposit box, and look for a new tracker since mine died yesterday. I've been going back and forth between Garmin and Fitbit. I've had Fitbits for years, but there are complaints that they've gone downhill lately. But then there are also mixed reviews about Garmin. Although with ANYTHING, there are always going to be mixed reviews - and I always seem to focus on those even if it's just a handful mixed in with a ton of great ones. Well, we'll see what's out there.

I hope that offer comes through, QJB. I'm sure at least one of those two top ones will - but hopefully it'll be your #1 choice!

QOTD: almost never because it doesn't do much. I used to wake up nearly every morning with a headache, but I rarely do any more since I'm now using a mouth guard. But I just wait it out - they usually disappear after an hour or two after drinking coffee and eating breakfast. My arm/shoulder pain (at least on the right side) has started back up - maybe because of the work we're doing at MIL's (reaching, packing, lifting), but I've just been ****asionally) using stuff like Biofreeze. Not sure that helps all that much either, but whatever..

I'm not sure what I'll eat for breakfast since I'm out of skyr (I'll make more tomorrow) - maybe Ratio yogurt with blackberries. I've already had my coffee and half & half for the day.

protein shake

lunch - maybe hummus and multigrain tortilla chips (they're way more caloric than baby carrots, but that fiber - plus the hummus (also fiber - plus good fat) is REALLY filling)

more Ratio yogurt with berries?

the fettuccine with marinara sauce and vegan meatballs that I didn't eat last night, because we were busy moving my MIL's bed to my mother's apt and weren't done until 8:00...so we went out for pizza (and fortunately, I was able to control myself!)

have a great day, everyone!
