2 lbs in 2.5 weeks is a win in my book. You can get rid of the excess fast.

Good morning JB and Menu folks. It has been a while. My stress levels have been high on the job front. I have been through mergers before and each merger has been more beneficial than the last. The long term employees here have made this one a challenge. They fear change, noise was always rewarded with grease here. My shoulder/neck has been giving me alot of problems and I have been making weekly trips to the chiropractor, I walk out of the appointment with instant relief. Not bothering me on the weekends, so is all work related. My posture is terrible, my workstation was revamped, so hoping this helps. We had a new planner start today, our Production and Planning Manager broke down and just quit last week.... so that is where I have been.

I am doing well with my a1c and weight. I hit onderland. 4.8 lbs from goal and then I am done. I will be happy as long as my a1c stays normal.

QOTD - I have an older LL bean that is still my go to, I did buy a heavy Winter Coat from the Gap outlet that I really like as well, and I was very proud that I only paid $48 for it! haha

B - Protein bar

S - Blueberries and 2 good yogurt

L - Rotisserie chicken and zero carb wraps

S - celery and laughing cow cheese

D - Ribeye and baked asparagus

Mergers are never good, someone always looses. I find myself hunching when I work, so I totally get you.

Mergers are tough and I think there is a cumulative effect of the change too, just a lower tolerance for change. We're into our 8th or 9th and for a lot of people change fatigue is real. I like change though!

QOTD- I love coats too, I don't wear them all the time. My favorite is a wool emerald green Pendleton calf length, and of course a purple wool one that is short. My go to is one from Old Navy it's green with soft furry lining. I wear gloves, I always have them in my coat pockets. I also have a full length Scottish cape of course the buttons are silver with thistles on them.

I took my roommate to the airport at 5AM yesterday, he made it to Dallas by 4:40PM. He was miserable his knees jammed into the seat in front and with size 16 feet he couldn't even move them. But he is there and will be on his way somewhere on Thursday in a semi. Back here in a few weeks. Maybe I'm too used to having someone around, but last night I checked all of the doors were locked and dead bolted, and wasn't sure I wanted to turn on my air cleaner that I use for white noise. I wanted to make sure I could hear any noises, just being paranoid. Obviously I survived or I wouldn't be typing this.

The scale did not reflect much difference from last week about .4lb but at least it's a loss. Last night I really wanted a glass of wine, it's the first time I seriously thought about it but I didn't have it.

My house cleaner told me about Humble Bundle, I bought 39 Terry Pratchett books for $25 and a portion of it goes to charity. They have books, games and software.

I need to get to work. Sorry the Lions & Ravens lost, I didn't want to see either KC or SF in the super bowl. Not that I will watch it.

Have a great day everyone!

G'morning all!

QJB - good luck today! Knock them dead.

I had a crappy weekend. It all started with me weighing myself on Sat morning and not seeing a change on the scale, it was downhill from there. And the more poor DH tried to cheer me up the crankier I got. So I decided I need to shock my system and do an egg fast this week. Bear with me because you'll see a boring menu of eggs eggs and eggs for the next 5 days.

The highlight of the weekend was discovering a mini series on Netflix . Have you seen "Midnight Mass"? If you want drama, supernatural and horror all wrapped into one watch this series. It's a limited one with 7 episodes.

QOD: being in CA we don't need real winter coat, but I like coatigans, a combo of cardigan and coat. Perfect for CA winters and I have too many to justify all the purchases.

My meals yesterday (treated it like a last supper):

  • Coffee & Barebells bar
  • Chicken meatballs
  • Starbucks egg bites
  • Legendary SF pop tart, protein smoothie
  • E: rest day

Here hoping it's a wonderful start to a great week.

My nephews loved midnight mass, it's by the same guy that did Haunting of Hill House, which was so good. They said midnight mass was too scary for me though. They check all the scary things first
