Everything went well! But man those 8 deadening shots were a son of a gun. I have a killer headache and upset stomach but my back feels great now!

Happy Monday -- good luck with both interviews today and I hope by the end of the day you have all the offers to consider.

I got home late last night but no travel trauma so that was nice, Charlotte to Denver I had the exit row window with no one in the middle seat so that was a total score. I watched Maestro on Netflix (Carey Mulgrew was great but the movie not so much) and about half of Queenpins which is not as funny as they lead you to believe.

After my friend left, I did wander around enough to get my 10K steps in and I made a new friend named Rhett (picture below) and I also met his GF, Scarlett. I also had three delicious bites of a slice of homemade key lime pie, I was tempted to eat the whole thing but I just enjoyed the bites of tart sweet goodness. I figured the public restrooms of key west/key west airport were NOT where I wanted to dump at so that gave me willpower. I did also come back from vacation 1lb higher than I left but I'm not surprised, we were active but not exercising coupled with not a lot of sleep and eating and drinking like I was on vacation and it adds up. I should have planned a little more to have good things in the house for when I got back but I did not so a grocery run is in the cards for today.

I took today off because I knew it would be a late night but was up a bit before 5. I have done my 5k rowing and got my January "I still miss my magnets" trophy and showered; today I have to get my hair colored, pick up a hammock chair I ordered in Key West that they shipped to Fedex for me, run by the library to drop off books and pick up holds, the grocery run and some laundry, it will set me up for success for the rest of the week.

QOTD - I have all the coats. It is 100% still a reaction to rarely being able to find a coat that I liked that had more than one color option so now I have all of them. ALL OF THEM. I put a clothing rack in the basement just for coats. My favorites are the two from lands end for super cold (one ankle length and one mid thigh) and the shell that is part of the coat they gave us in Antarctica. I feel like I need a wool dressy one too but haven't found one I liked.

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

cold brew with SF hazelnut (I will pick this up and take it to my hair appt)

string cheese and built bar

TBD on dinner and lunch, I know I will be picking up chicken and yogurt and half and half and all the staples

Have a fantastic day everyone!

I read that there are now more plastic ornamental flamingos than actual flamingos now.

Flamingos are returning to Florida for the first time in decades but still rare, at least that's what the conservationist said. There were also some blown there by the last big hurricane!
