What's on your Thursday Menu?
G'morning all!
QJB - good luck today with the interview. I'm sure you will knock their socks off. Don't tame your curls, just add some cream and gel and wow the audience with your curls.
Prices of private events at restaurants have gone through the roof. What I could book pre 2020 for a minimum food & beverage of $2,500 now they are asking $7,000-$10,000. It's just crazy. I understand the food prices have gone up but this seems price gouging to me. On the hunt for a private room in a restaurant for about 45 people in Mill Valley.
QOD: we've been using a firm for the last 8-10 years. DH's various groups of stock options, selling them and not selling them, have been a headache tax wise. We used to do our taxes ourselves but the amount of stress and cussing at TurboTax was no longer worth it. I do my part of the business, gather everything in spreadsheets and send them over.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- TJ kebabs
- Protein pudding, barebells bar, Fage yogurt w/blueberries
- Unexpected cheddar cheese spread w/soy crackers

- E: modified weigh session Steps:10,006
Happy jr Fri-yay!

I find that restaurant prices have gone way up over the last few years. I get that food is higher, but meals out have gone up much more.

Add to that minimum f&b, 22% mandatory gratuity, set up fees, corkage fee if we have a wine aficionado who brings his expensive wine, and the price is just eye watering.

QOTD- I usually use Turbo Tax but this year I'm having issues and I don't have a way to contact them without it costing. My 2022 taxes did not import, I believe it is a software issue but I don't have a way to resolve it. I started a new return but don't want to have to re-input everything.
I went to the nature park yesterday and just got my walk in before it started pouring down rain. I only did a little over a mile but 2 days in a row I call that a win. I also did some exercises with my dumbbells, I really have lost strength. But I'll keep going, I've logged my food as well, but Fitbit is still dumping on me, very frustrating.
I've averaged about 1000 calories a day with at least 70g of protein a day. I've tried to not snack at all, and I'm not drinking wine. When I drink there are times when I can't seem to limit how much I drink. It is so easy to have one glass of wine too many and I'm tired of hurting myself, falling etc. so for now it's a no go. I want to get back down to the 160's specifically 164 which was my lowest weight after surgery. My goal was 145 but 164 was the closest I got.
I've had work this week which is good, since my last paycheck was 32 hours short.
My roommate leaves for Dallas on Sunday, I'll run him to the airport at about 5AM on Sunday. I'm not sure when he will be back as he has 3 days of class and then is driving a semi back from there.
I have a nail appointment at 2:30 so I'll try to do a video workout when I get home.
Have a great day everyone!
