When ham or turkey are on sale, they practically give it away. It's a little shocking.

Good morning everyone!

QOTD: Here in south Florida if you want gas, one must pump their own! I have not seen a full service station in decades. I am always amazed at the braille instructions below the gas handle???

JB for sure get a manicure. I hate getting them too but they do make me feel put together so the mental boost is the best benefit. Today is another doctor today. I have FOUR appointments. No snow here of course, but the winter snowbird traffic!

I have some autoimmune disorders and now my kidneys and liver are under attack and I have stage 3a kidney disease. I do not know how bad the liver is. I have been undergoing testing for my heart as precautionary measures as I had left chest radiation from large B Cell lymphoma 10 years ago. Turns out that My Calcuim score is 430 which puts me at high risk for a cardiac event in the next 5 years. I got all this news in the same week. And now I am being sent to every specialist they can think of. Oh joy at least I am alive!

Menu: Chili and more Chili, I made a huge pot for the cold weather ahead. It will be in the high 40's in the morning on Saturday! And cloudy. That is a big deal here. LOL

Melody I am so happy for you that the block worked for some of your pain. I have chronic pain and it really wears one out. Lucky for me it is under control now.

I hope your appts go as well as they can. I remember my first winter in Miami, the schools sent a reminder to bundle the kids up because of the extreme cold...it was 49, lol. But that's cold for Miami!

Good morning! I've inhaled all of TikTok thus far today. It's going to be super freezing here in the DMV and I want nothing more than to not leave the house but I have a mammogram this morning. Don't get me started why my payment due at service is $440. How this isn't a deterrent for people to do proactive things like get tested for breast cancer is ABSURD. Thank god I can afford it.
QOTD: hmmm I don't do anything to earn cash back on gas. I guess I should. I normally just go to the Royal Farms by my gym, or Costco gas. Only if the line isn't long. When people wait half an hour for gas I think, "do you earn $7/hour? Cuz you saved $3.50 on that tank but waited 30 minutes."

I started Lessons in Chemistry last night (I looooved the book) and one episode in, I'm hooked.
B: I have some cheese and some olives and peppers from Whole Foods so maybe that

L: impossible nuggets

D: Turkey tacos FTW!
