What's on your Monday Menu?
I've had a lot of inflammation the last few months, and it's painful. I keep asking, and the only anti-inflammatories seem to be NSAIDS, which I won't even consider.

I still dream about Advil's sweet relief. I haven't touched it since 2016.

I am jealous of your coffee. I miss my 32 oz. cold brew, but I am not supposed to have caffeine. I have tried coffee caffeine free iced with milk (no half and half another thing I am supposed to avoid). Then I need to make it isotonic...so I don't get diarrhea.

Good Morning! I can't wait to see pics of the macarons, I've seen many that are so so vibrant. My weekend went by a bit fast. I did go to the movies with John yesterday since he's been wanting to see The Iron Claw. It was a very interesting movie inspired by true stories. Oh and we finished the new episodes of the Natalia Grace story-wow!

I read an interview with the director and screenwriter, they said that so many other bad things happened to that family that they had to take some out because it just got overwhelming. I think it was in vanity fair if you want to check it out

Good morning all and Happy Monday,
Hope everyone is staying warm and safe.
My trip has been great and I'm going wherever the tide takes me.
Oh s(no)w! I'm currently in Mississippi and made it alive. I drove from Saint Louis yesterday afternoon and hit a blizzard half way through. Southern Missouri, Tennessee and Memphis drivers are clueless in the snow. The drivers are so much more dangerous than just driving in a half inch of snow on the highway.
I was almost stranded me in negative temps when multiple gas station air machines malfunctioned, almost completely deflating a couple of my tires. It delayed me an hour but I stayed warm.
My MLK Day celebration at the Civil Rights Museum, which is at the Lorraine Motel, was cancelled and made virtual. I have been looking forward to it since I planned my trip. I'm going to a Memphis Grizzlies game tonight as long as the roads are open. They have a MLK celebration planned.
QOTD- No baby clothes but I do have a 'having a baby' shirt. It's my mom's from the 70's and days, "Another Kessler Creation," on the stomach. I lent it to my SIL for their pregnancies.
Accountability - In a different city, I can't help but wanting to try all the specialties. It was easy to stay close to being on track in Saint Louis since the weekend was mostly organized chain restaurant meals. I have no problem choosing the lesser evils on those menus. I was teased endlessly at lunch yesterday for ordering grilled pork chops at Lamberts(thrown rolls) in Sikeston, Mo. Everything on the menu is fried, Southern goodness and all you can eat sides. A good friend was traveling west to East while I was traveling North to South and we were crossing paths and met up. Pretty special.
B: eggs, bacon, couple bites of French toast, orange juice.
L: ??? Good BBQ if anything is open.
D: ??? Something at the Stadium or close by. I brought a stash of PP and have been supplementing my protein that way.

Mornin' All!
We managed to pack up all of MIL's leftover clothes yesterday (the ones that friends didn't help themselves to - she's an XS, and I thought of exactly three people we know who can fit into that size). We took them over the local humane society's thrift shop. We'll probably take most of her things there since she was really into animal rescue (and animals in general). We think she'd approve of having her unwanted stuff ending up there instead of Goodwill or St. Vinny's. We packed up her shoes before calling it a day, so we'll take those over to the thrift store today. I'd better make a plan of what else to do over there today since I seem to be more productive there when armed with a plan. Maybe finish up in her bedroom or clear out her coat closet. Or both.
I'm feeling stressed this morning for some unknown reason. Usually when I feel like this (and it always seems to be in the morning when it happens - I wake up with it), I go for a walk or a bike ride to burn it off. But the high will be zero today, so not doing that. I guess I'll have to do some YouTube cardio video.
QOTD: no. I think most of my baby/toddler/childhood clothes came from my cousins, and then were passed on to my sister. Beyond her, I'm not sure what happened to them.
B: coffee with half & half, pumpkin yogurt. I'm also thinking about making protein oatmeal or crumpets
L: at MIL's. Hummus and whole grain tortilla chips (?)
AS: Ratio yogurt ?
D: spinach lasagna
have a great day, everyone - stay warm!
