G'morning all!

QJB - very glad you are moving on to the next phase of interviews.

PSA for those of you who still like Premier Protein, they have a new flavor: cookie dough. I love PP, I use it anywhere possible instead of milk, creamer or even water. So I am excited about this new flavor. I made a pudding with it with cheesecake pudding powder. Can't wait to try it today.

Today going in for my third iron infusion. I guess I need to wait about a month and check my iron levels.

QOD: April will be 5 years. I don't put much mileage on my cars.

Accountability: cals went over 1,000 even if it was mostly protein. And it was raining so my activities were indoor and never reached 10,000 steps.

My meals yesterday:

  • coffee
  • Costco egg bites
  • Costco chicken skewer + hb egg
  • Protein pudding, cottage cheese+ almond butter
  • Mex cauli rice + ground turkey
  • Cal: 1,380 Protein: 141 Water: taking the 5th on this one
  • E: modified weight session Steps:3,820

Happy almost Fri-yay!

Happy Good Morning! Ahhhh, life after a great night's sleep. I got 6 straight hours, woke up to pee and listened to the rainstorm for a bit, drifted back off and slept about another 90 minutes. Now the sun is shining and it's raining and my view out the front window is delightful. I feel like today is going to be a good day!

I was 100 % on food and beverage yesterday and made it to my aqua fit class. That class makes me say bad words. It's hard. And today I am feeling it everywhere. That's a good thing, right? I also listened in on Roger's coaching session for Virtua. Not sure this is a fit for us, but a lot of what they preach fits my dietary lifestyle so that will make it a bit easier. The scale they sent us is wonky. It weighs Roger 9 pounds heavier then my scale and me 1.5 pounds heavier. Does that even make sense to anyone? Roger put a 25 pound bag of dog food on mine yesterday and it registered at 25.1 pounds. Whew! I kept swearing mine was very close to all my docs, but I would have been pissed if I had to own a higher weight. His scale won't even recognize the 25 pounds. They said he could just use mine and upload his weight daily. He's also supposed to do a fingerstick blood test every other day to check levels of ketosis. So I need to be all about cutting carbs of all kinds. They want him under 50 for the day. Also, we "think" he's got the Inspire surgery scheduled for the 17th. We got a message to report to the day surgery unit on that day, but no other information yet.

Today we have optometrist appointments. Yay for new glasses. SO spoiled. Roger's insurance pays for a pair a year. I have a tiny nick on mine right at eye level from getting them knocked off in the street. But the lid of our huge trash cans. Not a street fight. Roger is helping a buddy this afternoon so I will walk then if the weather permits or do a yoga video. Need to get in my exercise today if I want to meet my mini goals and I think either option will help with my muscle pain and stretch things out.

QoTD: Used to be every 5-6 years. But we paid off both our cars before I retired and I have no desire to have a car payment. I drive a 2019 Lincoln MKZ and it has 26K on it. Roger has a 2017 Lincoln Navigator and about 60K in it. I don't see me getting another car this decade. Just thinking about having to get another car retrofitted to be towed behind the rig is reason enough for me to keep this one. It's a nice car, hybrid and in good shape. I'm good.

bites today. Lots of thought into this so I can curate for Roger's food as well.

B: bacon, egg, 1 pc protein bread and a little smashed avo. Same for Roger but he'll get 2 pieces of bread to make a sandwich

L: left over beef stew for me.

D: if weather permits, Roger is smoking porkchops. If not, either leftover chicken from last night or TJ's sesame teriyaki beef with onions and snap peas

Peace Everybody.

QOTD- I bought my Prius new in 2010, it only has 114,000 miles on it. I have no plans to get rid of it. That does not include the shipboard mileage of about 7K miles. I shipped it to and from Maui and they don't go direct. Tacoma to LA to Honolulu and transfer to a smaller ship to Maui. It had more fun than I did. Now the only place that I drive is to the store. In the last year I put less than 6K miles on it. So until I need something else I'll hold onto it. Plus it gets 48MPG. I bought it when gas prices were so high.

The back pain is getting better, I actually slept mostly through the night. I found positions that were comfortable. So today will be better than yesterday.

I have work but I'm stuck since there is an issue with the software and I can't do anything more until it's fixed.

No snow here yet, but they are predicting it for Fri-Sat with low low temps. So if we get it, it won't be going away anytime soon.

I have a 1st world problem. After the last windows update my gaming mouse, actually they call it a keyboard is no longer recognized by my computer. I hardly do any gaming anymore so I'm not sure that it matters. But it bugs me that it doesn't work. It's a Razer Tartarus Chroma so if anyone know how to fix this please let me know.

Have a great day everyone and stay warm and safe!
