Good morning!
I had a good day yesterday. 80 minutes of working out at the gym. Great food choices until bedtime. A little stumble with about 10 pieces of caramel corn the friends insisted we keep when they left here Sunday. I wrapped that up and tucked into the very back of the cabinet. I'll break it out for the grands next time they visit. I drank only water and fake coffee. Found a new bread. Primal Bakery Protein Bread. It's expensive. But I really liked it. I had half a serving, which is one full piece and made my one avocado smash bread with shaved turkey and it was delicious and carried me through nearly 6 hours until dinner.
Today I am going to sit in on Roger's first session with the "counselor" from the new diet program his insurance offered him. It's very keto, so I've been doing some prep work on that. It will keep me from doing weights at the gym, but I told him even if it's not done, I'm leaving on time to get to the gym for aqua fit. I'm determined to get to that class weekly. It's a beast for me.
QoTD: Since surgery, I have made a commitment to trying all sorts of new things. But if you invite me for dinner and ask if I have any allergies or aversions, my standard answer is No Canned Tuna please! Worse than pickles. I've got the chills just typing it.
QoTD II: I am one who hates to come up with the questions. But in all my years of hiring, I never stopped being impressed by people who took the time prior to their interview to obviously review our website and ask questions specific to our company/industry. So my advice is to dig into their websites and come up with a couple questions based on what you find. Like what was the driving force behind launching a VMI program? (specific to my industry...but you get the drift).
Bites today
B: 1 egg, 1 25 cal zero carb flour tortilla, 1 slice bacon and a bit of sliced avo. All the avo's are suddenly begging to be eaten immediately!
L: 1 slice protein bread, fresh tomato slices, smashed avo and shaved deli turkey meat
D: roasted chicken thighs with corn and garbanzo beans
Peace Everybody!

Good morning all and do the Humpty hump.. Day,
I'm scurrying about trying to get everything tied up before my trip Friday. Speaking about scurrying about, there's a new tourist attraction that may challenge the Home Alone house's #1 attraction title. It's in Roscoe Village and here's the hubbub, bub:
I may repost Friday since it is a late post today.
QOTD- I'll take a taste to be polite and will choke it down if it's unpleasant.
QOTD 2- What tyrannical doctor would you be and why? Seriously though, what would advice would you give your younger self about your future employment journey?
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.
L: Birria, carne en su jugo.
D: filet mignon & mushrooms, 1950's salad. I scored a 1lb filet for $7. The meat counter employee didn't want to cut a 6oz portion off the tenderloin so he gave me the whole steak.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

G'morning all!
QJB - New year, new opportunities. Very happy you are getting calls back and scheduling interviews. I hope you can find something nearby that you don't have to commute for long hours. Quality of life is important.
Was it yesterday everybody was saying they didn't sleep well? Has everybody sent their sleeping hours to me? Maybe because I am back to exercising, but I sleep deep. I mean so deep that I have a hard time opening my eyes when DH walks into the room with my coffee. It could be also that now with colder temps I turned on my little heating pad and it makes me feel cozy and all snuggled in.
QOD: nope, especially after WLS I don't waste stomach space for something I don't like. I even tell my mom if I don't like something. I don't poo poo it but I tell her I no longer like a certain dish and to not make it when I'm home. She is fine with that and likes to know what I would eat and not eat.
QOD2: I just saw this online :
- What do you most want to learn
- What tactics will you do best at and where do you thrive
- What tactics will you have to learn and what do you hate spending time doing at work?
- What's your life mission?
My meals yesterday:
- coffee + Barebells bar
- Epic chicken + quest chips
- Protein pudding, Fage yogurt w/raspberries
- Innards of Taco Tuesday
- Cal: 969 Protein: 122 Water: barely 60 oz.
- E: 1 hr elliptical Steps:12,389
Happy hump day!

JB - I haven't had a job interview in 22 years, but when I was doing a lot of interviewing, I'd write down every question I could think of that they might ask - and I'm come up with answers to them - and practice my answers. Unless the place asked a lot of situational questions (and some do), a vast majority of their questions were on my list, so I already knew what to say. You'll always get a couple you're not prepared for (or a LOT if they're all situational questions), but if you only have so-so responses to a couple of questions and great ones for the rest, they're going to remember the good ones.
